"This is great value for money with easy access to all the local sights. We spent two days here and from the wonderful welcome until we left they were attentive and friendly. There is a fantastic pool which is needed after day trips out and about. "

If you want to have a relaxing holiday, not doing much but hanging out by the swimming pool, cycling around rice fields, enjoying locally produced organic vegetable meals away from crowds of tourists and being attended to by friendly staff - here is your spot. It is in the midst of the nature so if you have limited tolerance to wild life, maybe reconsider, but I consider such place in this world today as a hidden gem. It was a perfect get away for us and would love to come back again. "

"We came to stay just for the bed. The staff were amazing and generous. Very accommodating. They organised tuktuk for Sigiriya Rock and Cave Temple and were willing to help in every possible way. Good food recommendations. Sadly we didn't get time for the pool which looked so inviting"

"Very expensive stay for not much facilities. Staff barely able to understand requests. No timely answers for queries before we arrived at the property. Staff do not go out of the way to make your experience pleasant at all. Breakfast was below average. For the expensive pricing, you would expect a better spread, but no. Cleanliness of property is also below average when you compare with similar properties in the price range."

"The Hotel is very large in size and the staff were very pleasant and helpful organising a driver to take us out of the area to visit all the places of interest we would not see otherwise. Kurunegela itself is not geared up for tourism and is more your local town. So there is a need to travel out. The Hotel is tired with the decor and carpets needing to be replaced and an overall update required. The restaurant choices are limited and overall the Hotel and the area does not cater for europeans"

" I booked with expedia. my paid with my credit card. when i go they said they do not accept expedia, they ask to pay in property. i was with tel over 2 hrs to resolve this. expedia refund it. but hotel give hard time. even their food / desert not worth what i paid. and security gurd never allow to unload from my vechile front of the entrance. i have to park far place to carry my baggs. the way with sand and mud. its totally un acceptable. i do not recommand this hotel for this price."

"Property is not found at 53 Riverside Road, Matale. Given phone is switched off but he answered on the previous day and asked us to come. According to him weather was ok but weather was terreble and came back home because no place to stay at the night. I had to block my card as well. The worst experience I have ever had. I would never recommend this hotel to anyone."
