"This hotel was one of the highlights of our recent trip. From the moment we were greeted with champagne to the voucher for more champagne in our room plus free snacks and drinks, to the excellent breakfast, again with more champagne, terrific rain shower, and great location in between New and Old town and just steps from the train and the airport bus, it exceeded all expectations! I’d absolutely stay here again next time I am in town."

"I stayed at the Albany Hotel for three nights and had a good experience overall. The staff were friendly and accommodating, and even lent me an extension cord when I needed one. The complimentary coffee, latte machine, fruit, and snacks in the lobby each morning were a nice touch. The location was convenient, with easy walking access to buses, the train station, and food delivery options. My room was spacious and clean, and the TV was excellent. The main issues were maintenance-related. The hot water was inconsistent, and although maintenance was offered, no one came. The windows were stuck and could not be opened or locked properly."

It’s a 3 minute walk from the drop off and pick up for the Airlink shuttle stop which is cheap and easy to get to and from the airport. Then you’re right on royal mile with quick walks to all the sights. The staff was super kind and helpful and the room was spacious and clean."

"This was a two part stay because we liked the hotel and location so much we canceled a reservation and booked another room here. I visited a lot of hotels in Edinburgh and stayed at one other. The Intercontinental is an excellent choice if staying in one hotel in Edinburgh. Recommend a higher floor (6 or 7) in the newer part because you will get some sort of view over the city, but it's not essential."
