A very nice basic hotel in a beautiful location. The walk to town is less than 10mins and is not too challenging (depending on fitness level) and a good way to burn off the food and drinks!

This property was amazing. The view from the room is worth every dollar. The staff is extremely friendly and goes above and beyond. We got in a bit later on the day of arrival and it was pouring rain, we went down for the dinner and it was so cozy and welcoming of a space.

The walk to the hotel is more than "slight uphill" but if you don't mind this then this hotel was so cozy. The staff was amazing and the service was great. This is a small hotel without much fuzz, but a real treat anyway. Have the bacon for breakfast!

We loved this hotel for our stay in Lake Como! Clean with an amazing view of the lake! Staff was accommodating and nice. 10 minute walk to center of town and ferry. Highly recommend!

Good value, tidy room with a beautiful view. A couple of small downsides being the steep hill (really not ideal whilst feeling ill and impossible to get an Uber) and slightly dated bathroom suite.

Nice little property. The rooms were spacious but a little hot and humid even with fans. The staff were wonderful and nice. The breakfast was yummy and filling. The walk back up from the main strip is a little rough (mostly uphill) so make sure to taxi yourself if you got bags to carry. Overall a nice experience.

The location is up a hill with a nice view of the lake. My room looked just like the pictures online and was really cozy. I could book breakfast for 10€/day, breakfast service was great and Stuff is really attentive and friendly. The City and Lake is only a 15-20 minute walk down the hill

Lovely and calm place to stay in lake-Como

The hotel was idyllic and quite small. The room was spacious, clean and comfortable. It also had a big balcony which was a plus. There was a fan in the room which made it possible to sleep. The breakfast was 10€/night and it seemed reasonable. The only downside was the short walk uphill from the old town (10 minutes). On the other hand, it was a very calm area due to that. We recommend this place.

Our overall stay at Hotel Loveno was good. The staff was friendly and happy to answer any questions we had. The room itself was clean and had everything we needed. However, a few bugs had gotten into the room due to open windows with no screens (common in Italy). We had balcony access, but unfortunately the door would not open. The biggest downside of this property is its location. Google maps will say it is only a 15 minute walk from the ferry port in Menaggio, but it is an extremely difficult uphill walk on cobblestone streets (not ideal for luggage or in general). There is a bus that route that runs to the area of the hotel, but its hours are limited and the process to buy tickets is unclear. If we could go back, we would stay in either Bellagio or Varenna. However, Hotel Loveno was great for what it was.

Lovely staff , clean room and generous breakfast . But it’s quite basic …. The noise transference between the bedrooms means you can beast the person in the next room even unzipping their suitcase !!! Buses to the property are only one an hour .

Overall the property was good value and the staff were amazingly helpful. However, one major caveat of this property is that it is not easily accessible by foot as the only local road to get here is an incredibly rocky and steep path which is impossible with any kind of luggage. In order to get to the centre of Menaggio, this is the only safe road down without a car. It is a good 10 minute walk up and down without luggage for those who are mobile. If you are not driving to the property, consider staying at the waterfront area. Otherwise, it's a quiet and lovely part of Menaggio.
