"Valley view from both inside and the yard was wonderful. Very quiet location. Kitchen is well appointed (needs a new toaster) but a bit cramped for food prep space. Overall it is a delightful mountain cabin."

"We truly felt at home in The Valkyrie. We wanted to get away and it was the absolute best place to break away from all the hustle and bustle. The cabin was loaded with everything you need and more. I cannot say enough about how much fun we had at this cabin. We made memories that will last a lifetime. The trail down to the river is breathtaking and so peaceful! "

"We couldn't have been happier with our stay at this amazing cabin It was exactly where we needed to be to get rest but also a bit of adventure as well. The weather was perfect and the river was flowing where we could hear and see it from the house. It's a bit of a walk down and back up, but there is a bench in the middle if you need to rest. I'm VERY picky on beds, and I have to say that we slept better than we have in quite a while. The bed was soft but supportive. The hot tub was perfect after doing some hiking. This was also one of the cleanest homes inside and out that we've stayed at. The outdoor furniture was really nice and clean too. You are way out, but we felt completely safe and couldn't see any other cabins through the trees. Robert was a great host. We will absolutely be back because we've stayed all around the area and this has become our new favorite "

"We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. The house was very spacious with modern amenities and conveniently located within the heart of Mentone. We did not get to use the grill, but it was a nice addition. We enjoyed the fire pit and Greg and Susan were very responsive. Both my wife and I are vertically challenged so we found the downstairs bed unusually high, but comfortable. A stool nearby might make a nice future addition . And although we don’t consider Greg responsible for the neighbors activity, there was unexpected construction at the house next-door very early in the morning. "

"The cabin was perfect! Very clean, very comfortable, immediately felt like home. Its tucked back in the woods and does not have close neighbors, which we loved. If I had to pick one thing that wasnt perfect, it would be the couch/futon. It wasn't super comfy but served its purpose fine. We LOVED the retro kitchen appliances and the other antiques and old timey decor. Coffee on the back porch watching the squirrels and the birds made for the best mornings and a warm fire in the outside fire pit finished our days with relaxation and good conversation. "
