It's a decent property but service could be better. Pictures look larger than life. Don't let the pictures lure you to book the place. You get what you pay for. Restaurant has decent food but the staff didn't quite get the dietary restrictions. I had to explain it to them each time and yet confused the dishes. Property is on a nice lot but could be much more elevated in decor and services.

We recently had a wonderful stay at Hive Resort, Wayanad. The resort is located in a beautiful and peaceful setting surrounded by greenery, making it a perfect place to relax and enjoy nature. The Taj in Wayanad is probably the best resort we’ve stayed at in Kerala. It’s a great location on the Banasura Lake, and serves as a good home base for other locations in the district, including waterfalls and wildlife reserves. Great getaway for a few days immersed in nature, stunning hikes and views and wonderful staff and cuisine. Accent on on-site activities is justifiable; surrounding attractions outside the property, while famous, are incredibly crowded and congested and better to enjoy the excellent ambiance, service and cuisine and superb cabin rooms drenched with birdsongs!

My whole experience was absolutely amazing. Rooms were all the time in good condition. Staff was very attentive and courteous. Food was very hygienic , tasty as well as fresh. So much variety in food. They come to your table and make sure you are pleased with food if we need anything. Lots of activity to do in nature. Very informative. Staff was knowledgeable about Rainforest . Its children friendly .I highly recommend this place for families. Hope to visit again. 🙂

The rooms are fantastic and a minor gripe is that the pools were not heated. The morning breakfast and dinner were chaotic. There is no coordination and the restaurant staff was overwhelmed. We pay the high room costs for the most relaxing experience but chaos at morning and dinner leaves much to be desired. The spa is good and in-room dining service is good.

Even though booking was for AC room, on reaching there we were told it is for non-AC room as Premier Triple rooms are non-AC only and we had to pay $28 extra for shifting to AC room.
