"If you are planning to visit Merano this is the place to stay. It is a family run hotel and nothing is too much trouble. All the staff are friendly and helpful. We first stayed there two years ago and it was great but since then it has had a major renovation and it is even better now. We were upgraded to a Garden Suite which had a fantastic view over the great pool area to the mountains. "Castel Rundegg is an old fashioned hotel in the very best sense. It is a beautiful building in a most beautiful town, with comfortable public areas and spacious well appointed bedrooms. Those who are looking for discos and fast food options might choose elsewhere, but it does offer superb cuisine, stunning gardens and an old world elegance. It also boasts extensive pool, sauna and spa treatments. We look forward to returning there."

"Good location for Merano 2000 cable car and botanical gardens. It is 3k from Merano centre and while there is a bus taking the car was more convient for us, parking on edge of town. The hotel itself is part of camping hermitage, which seems to be main focus. The hotel could use some re-imagining. For example, removing the net curtains obscuring the great view. "The apartment was large and had lots of space. Beds were very uncomfortable and we were unable to rest. Best part was the closeness to the ski mountain and going sledding. The town was super cute! "

"Ruhiges, dennoch zentrales Familien Hotel. Personal sehr freundlich, Essen gut und in ausreichender Menge, Innen und Aussenpool sehr praktisch auch für schlechtere Tage. Meran Card im Preis enthalten, sehr praktisch da ÖPNV inkl. und einige andere Annehmlichkeiten. Wird in nächster Zeit renoviert, somit wird sich der Komfort sicherlich steigern. Waren sehr zufrieden und würden wieder kommen."
