We were brought by water taxi from the airport right to the front door dock and stored our luggage while the apartment was being readied. We had a fantastic stay at Residenza Ducato! The apartment is brand new and beautifully designed. The bathroom is floor to ceiling marble with a high-tech multi-functional rain shower... it was heaven! The apartment also has several dual USA and Euro outlets which was very helpful as we were a group of 5 American women with lots of beauty gadgets! The air conditioning worked very well, it was hot outside so we were relieved to have a good system. Only cons were there were a few fixtures...

We were upgraded to a canal view without extra charge, a nice perk. There was a gondola right outside the door and that seemed more personal than going to the pier to get one. The check-in was quick and the staff was very helpful in assisting us with our many questions. The location was really good. The best thing we did was spend extra money and have the hotel arrange a water taxi from the airport to the door of the hotel. We heard from other travelers how difficult it was to find their hotels...
