"House had everything we could possibly need or want to have a wonderful weekend. The screened porch was great for relaxing, kayaks were fun, nice little dock for fishing or stargazing. We even went for a swim! Perfectly clean and in good condition, and was near enough to go to Metropolis and Paducah for entertainment. There's a dollar store in Brookport for all of the items one inevitably forgets to pack. XD"

"A lovely place to stay close to Garden of the Gods National Forest and more. My group stayed for a short trip over Memorial Day Weekend and wish we stayed longer. The place is very spacious, has plenty of bedrooms for small and larger groups, and has great updated amenities inside and in the backyard to enjoy. Highly recommend. "Quaint red home near horse farm is exactly as the description in the post describes the property in an excellent manner. My children enjoyed having separate rooms and we were able to cook a full dinner and breakfast both days. If we ever go back we will surely keep this rental in mind."

"This was supposed to be 1 night stay. When we were booking this property the title of the listing was "Unity House South," the description did not mention "unit," and it popped up when we filtered our search by "house." I had to call a day before to confirm check in instructions as we have not received them 24 hours in advance as expected. A lovely lady figured it out for us and we got the check in info. "The house was just as described. Cute, clean and cozy! The welcome basket of snacks was a great surprise. The owner even has shampoo/conditioner/body wash in the bathroom along with a hair dryer, q-tips and cotton pads. The location was excellent as well and the neighborhood was quiet. "From start to finish everything was absolutely perfect! Mae is a wonderful host! Initially, we were due to check in earlier in the day, our drive (weather) didn't allow us to arrive when we had planned, it was after dark. Mae ensured the lights were on, making it much nicer for arrival. The home was very clean and well decorated, it felt very welcoming. "This was a great retreat. We enjoyed all the coyotes howling at night and the quiet area. It is rural but there were towns close to go to if you wanted. If I am in that area again I would use that house!!"
