  • Welcome to The Metung Crest, a beautifully appointed lakeside retreat nestled beside the tranquil wetlands of Tambo Bay, just 500 metres from a safe sandy beach. With space and flexibility for extended families or friends, this home offers a truly calm, restorative escape by the water.

    Inside, the property features four peaceful bedrooms and three bathrooms, including a super-king master suite. The thoughtfully appointed main house boasts three bedrooms, two bathrooms, and a spacious open living and dining area, while a separate self-contained studio offers a private bedroom, kitchen and bathroom ideal for couples or companions seeking their own space. The full kitchen includes a six-burner cooktop, oven, fridge and slow cooker, while the studio is equipped with its own fridge and cooktop. Comfort is effortless with reverse-cycle heating/cooling throughout, ceiling fans, and two lounge areas. For entertainment, you'll have board games, books, Wi-Fi and a huge 70 TV. Outdoors, the fully fenced yard welcomes pets, and two kayaks and skimboards are available (use at your own risk).

Great property for large family group with adults n children. Plenty of comfy beds in large rooms. Big couch to all sit together and nice seating area to look at lake. Excellent bathrooms and facilities. Everything you need in kitchen, big fridge and stove. Lovely grassed area for playing outside. Highly recommend this property.

Metung Crest is a gem! The accommodation is well-appointed and perfectly located in a quiet, private spot away from the main village. Backing onto the Tambo wetlands near Tambo Bay, we were treated to an incredible array of birdlife and wildlife - it added an extra layer of enjoyment to our stay, especially during meals and social time with the group. The home itself was spotless, well-equipped, and had everything we needed for a truly relaxing and carefree break

Beautiful property but Missing items

Property is absolutely beautiful and was presented pristine! However, preparation for our arrival fell short. No, coffee pods for machine. No instant coffee except for a couple of teaspoons at the bottom of the canister which looked stale. No sugar. No dishwasher powder or tablets. Had to make a 20 min drive to get coffee each morning. No blankets as alternatives to Dunas which we found overhot.
