"Visited Louvre Lens. The hotel was ideally situated across from the railway station. The room was clean with modern decors on movie themes. The bed was really comfortable. There is no bath but the shower is excellent. The room was spacious. Breakfast was varied and simple but the food presented was delicious. Cereals, eggs, cold meats, compotes, teas/coffees. A bar and meals are available but we chose to eat out and a charming restaurant around the corner. The choice of places was extended and choices of restaurant options varied and all within easy walking distance of hotel. Staff were helpful, friendly, and efficient. Great stay."

"We were travelling from Switzerland to Calais and back to uk. Needed somewhere inbetween to rest. Had good reviews so booked this place and also had free parking. The checkin is only open from 1600-2000. We were running late and therefore had to contact reception. The lady who assisted us was wonderful and organised out of hours check in The parking is on street parking and depends on availability of space and therefore free parking is not necessary available. The room was not clean. It smelt foul. There was mould on the sponge on the sink. One of the beds smelt like a drunk homeless man had slept on it. Had stains on the sheets. Could not sleep on that at all! The other bed had small bits on it. We slept with our clothes and for the minimum necessary to recuperate and be on our way The window opens directly onto the street where there is a bar and was noisy all night (it was a Friday night) I am surprised that it has 9/10 rating! Would definitely not rate it at all "
