Easy and welcoming check-in, clean quiet studio, well-kept-up indoor one lane lap pool that looks about 40 yards long (seriously, I did my workouts in it). It's a condo building, so no café, but there is one right next door and many more in the immediate area. No AC, like most Mexico City bldgs, but openable windows w no street noise.

Excellent location and well equipped apartment

The apartment was exactly as on the website. A suggestion for improvement is that it needs to be cleaned well. It was well equipped and comfortable. The bed was comfy. The drinking water tap was appreciated. The kitchenette is helpful. The location is close to bars, restaurants and cafes. You can walk to paseo de la reforma and Chapultepec castle. The historic centre is a short Uber ride away. Kukun was excellent with communication. They responded promptly to our request for a few more towels and a blanket. This property is a great value.

We stayed in the comfort apartment. The location of the building is great and it was nice to have 24-hour security (but having to carry a large ‘visitor’ card to get access was tedious - especially when there is only one card for a 2-bed apartment). The main problem is just that the apartment is looking very tired. The walls are all scuffed and have chipped paint; the courtyard needs a good wash or repainting - and for some reason there seemed to be leftover construction materials against the wall. The sink in the main bathroom took up to 12 hours to drain, and the bathroom just looks it needs a scrub and freshening up.

We enjoyed staying at Alure Kukun. The amenities are great and the staff incredibly helpful. The communication and check-in was a smooth process. We enjoyed the penthouse rooftop patio and the bed was comfortable. Looking for to staying here again.

Excellent communication, great location!

The staff communication through the booking website was excellent - they made all instructions very clear and even met us at our arrival and allowed us to check in early. The stay was perfect for what we needed - we didn't have a chance to use the building amenities but they looked great. We had great space and conditions, hair dryer, nespresso, etc. - would stay again.

Our stay at Kakun was exceptional! Nicholas met us during check in and showed us our apt and welcomed us. The apt itself was super trendy and well furnished. It is in a great and safe area that is walkable to many great restaurants and sites! Only complaint is that the walls are quite thin and you can easily hear outside. Overall great and would stay again!

This property has soooo many amenities. It is a beautiful building with wonderful staff. One thing to be aware of, the room itself can get hot or cold depending on weather and the bed is on the stiffer side. I am a designer and loved the space and was comfortable.

The apartment was extremely comfortable and clean. The toilet was not functioning properly when we arrived but the Kukun staff was attentive and responsive. They worked quickly to ensure the toilet was working when we can back to the apartment. The Kukun staff also were helpful when we had questions, or had any other need. The location was perfect! We felt safe walking around during the day and at night. There were many food locations to choose from and within walking distance. The staff at the building were also very friendly. Definitely recommend staying here!

Budget Accomodations

This property will reach out to you outside of the booking site and ask for personal information in ways that don’t feel secure. I had to set a profile up in advance which I did, submit photos of my ID, which I did and confirm that it was only me staying. I had received confirmation everything was set before arrival, however they said they have difficulty when people don’t declare all guests so since I submitted as only 1 they didn’t approve me to avoid difficulty, in turn causing me to wait over an hour after check in to get access. Was offered compensation and then they said they actually wouldn’t be providing it. There was no mention in the listing that it was un-air conditioned which would’ve been helpful to know in a heatwave. It was highly uncomfortable and extremely hot the entire time. One fan was provided and it couldn’t be near the window/door because there was no outlet. The reading light near the bed could not reach power, it was just sitting on the table unusable. The place had ZERO privacy. There were 2 towels provided for 4 days (including the pool) and when asked for more it was declined. The neighbors dog also barked the entire trip day and night making it highly unpleasant to enjoy the space. When I complained about these things I did not get any solutions. The security was great and very nice but overall I could not recommend anyone to stay here. Common spaces were nice but not redeeming enough. Stay elsewhere to avoid the headache.

Safety concerns. Lock was broken on balcony door; door did not lock. Kukun would not fix it. Sewer gases and smell coming from laundry drain into bathroom. Coffee table had broken leg. Bed was only full-size (too small since we are both over 6 feet tall!) Refrigerator had a coating of dust on it. Dishwasher did not fit under countertop. Sharp edges stuck out and could easily have hurt someone.
