"Mea , at the front desk, was very helpful and cared that my stay was pleasant, though it was short. I found NuWray easily and was able to park without difficulty. I arrived a little later in the evening, and Mea made sure to check with me so she could be sure someone would be present to check me in. My room was very clean, cozy, and inviting. I appreciated the easy access to water and ice late at night. Though this is a historic building, I found myself insulated from any noise in the hallway - a great bonus for a light sleeper. In all, I would stay at NuWray again and will recommend it in the future. You won’t be disappointed!"

"Our host was very welcoming and helpful once we arrived. She checked in via text occasionally to see if we needed anything and to ensure things were going well. She offered ideas for places to visit and shop. The kitchen is well-stocked. The place is very quiet--we had rain and wind for the first several days, but didn't hear it while sleeping. The king size bed is very, very comfortable for sleeping. The temperatures turned colder (mid-30's to upper 40's), and we were very comfortable with the gas fireplace heater in the living room and electric heater in the bedroom. The long porch offers a great view of the mountains (same view from the living room). We enjoyed watching a bright red male cardinal splashing in the bird bath on our last full day with sun shining. This place is surrounded by the beautiful Appalachian mountains, and the fall colors were spectacular! We had a nice, relaxing time. "

"Peter is an excellent host. Communication re questions/ concerns were answered promptly. All instructions re check in, check out, directions to property, use of property amenities were very detailed and were very helpful. The view was awesome! It was so quiet, peaceful, and relaxing. It was just what we needed for our family gathering of 3 adults and 3 kids. We enjoyed the hot tub, playing volleyball, and making s’mores one evening using the fire pit. We also enjoyed exploring the area including Sugar Mountain. "
