In the Konavle area, close to Dubrovnik, there is an old railway tunnel that was built by the Habsburgs. It makes a switchback on the mountain to slowly loose height. Now you can walk through it and see the bats that live there. In May the wildflowers leading up to it were stunning! Even in the rain!

"Such a lovely apartment in the perfect location for exploring Dubrovnik! The room was spacious and clean and our host was so kind, checking in with us daily during our stay. The only downside is the surrounding area can be noisy when trying to sleep but this didn’t bother us too much!"

"This is an excellent hotel, five star quality. The views are spectacular, the private beach and pools are all really nice, good spa facilities, excellent breakfast and food. This is a unique hotel in a spectacular location. The only downside is it's a £20 cab ride into the centre of Dubrovnik but we could cope with that. You can also get a bus, which run every couple of days hours. "

"I am a solo traveller and I appreciated the pleasant area surrounding the hotel. I had a small room with a single bed and it was big enough for me and it was very quiet and I slept well. The staff at reception were very pleasant and helpful. It would be helpful if guests were notified about the bus route for bus 6 before arrival as this is an easy way to get to the hotel and saves the cost of a taxi."
