"We loved, loved, loved staying at this property! It was everything we were looking for in a quintessential PEI trip with sweeping ocean and lighthouse views. We appreciated having 2 of the bedrooms on the entry floor to make it accessible for my 79 year old mom. We loved each having our own bathroom and gorgeous light in the morning through the huge windows. Highly recommend!!!"

"Castle Black was just what we needed. A week of complete enjoyment in a house with everything one could want, spick and span, superb ocean views (from both the front the main level deck and the deck off the bedroom facing east, one morning the sun rising over the completely calm ocean was sypuch incredible reds oranges yellows), beach walking all the way to Jacques Cartier Park, very private, with quiet neighbours, responsive host answered inquiries immediately. Everything great."

"So, Crooked Cottage is not a misnomer.. it is indeed crooked in side ( drop a marble on the floor and it'll roll away ). It is small inside and is very much for a couple, not as suited for two people sleeping in different beds under one roof ( pull out couch is "meh" ). You'll notice that this did not detract from my rating, these are just observations... Maybe the only recommendations i'd make is for the shower, being as small as it is, put in one of the hand held shower heads.. and maybe a proper but still small kitchen table and chairs ( found what was there, bistro style, a bit too small and the chairs somewhat fragile ) Still, not a detraction, just a recommendation All this being said, it's one of the best appointed Cottages i've rented. Has AC if you need it, tons of mugs, cutlery, cooking accessories - anything you'd need in a kitchen is here (multiple coffee type makers too). Having an over/under washer dryer is unique and was appreciated by myself and my daughter. Beautiful grounds and gardening.. We loved our stay and would absolutely stay again if we were ever out that way again."

"The location on the beach and beach views were excellent. Plenty of space, plenty of clean linens, lots of outdoor seating options and kayaks. The lawn to the beach was well manicured and great for kids to run around and play on. The basement had three beds with very uncomfortable mattresses, and the air quality in the basement was not comfortable. It was musty, despite there being a dehumidifier. The loft sleeping area quickly became hot during the day, though a fan was provided. There were three keys in the lock box, but only one key was functional. We tried using the keys for all exterior doors, and only the one key worked. The refrigerator in the kitchen did not keep food cold enough, despite it being on the highest setting. The host was informed, and we were invited to use the fridge in the basement, which was cold. However, we had to throw food out that had been stored in the kitchen fridge. The host said that they would do their best to repair the fridge, but it was not repaired and there was no update."
