5/5 - Excellent
If you get a chance to stay here - I highly recommend it. The onsen is beautiful, but the staff and ambiance make it one of my favorite trips of all time.

Visitors to Kurokawa Onsen enjoy its restaurants, and if you want to do some exploring, Aso Kuju National Park is worth a stop.

Wonderful experience and highly recommended. Everything was great. Great location and wish I could have stayed longer. Great dinner and breakfast buffet (even for a vegetarian).

I had a lovely time here. The cabin was clean and the personal onsen was very relaxing.

Commune with nature and explore the great outdoors at Meotodaki Fall during your travels in Minamioguni. Discover the area's hot springs and volcano viewpoints.
Find out about the history of Minamioguni with a stop at Hiranodai Kogen Observation Deck. You can enjoy the restaurants while in the area.

Kurokawa Onsen town is fairly unremarkable compared to the other top 10 Onsen towns we been to in Japan. Yumerindo was a huge disappointment and the worst hotel of our 3 week trip to Japan.
Don’t miss the river lights at night. Magical
