Fairy Bay Lakehouse

10/10 Excellent

"I wish I could give the property and especially Amit, more than 5 stars. We had a lovely time on the beach and dock. The rooms are wonderful and the bed was SO COMFORTABLE. (This is a big deal because I sleep very poorly normally)."

Inn at the Falls

"We first visited this charming inn back in 1985, and returned this week for our 40th anniversary. Inn at the Falls has since been thoughtfully renovated, retaining the feeling that you are staying in a century home (actually, 150 years old) with modern amenities like a Jacuzzi bathtub and Wi-Fi. Our suite was exceptionally clean and comfortable. Our balcony looked out on manicured lawns and the river. The staff could not have been more helpful and friendly (especially Janice). And the restaurant on site was wonderful too. Just a five-minute walk from The Old Station restaurant (also excellent) and the shopping district. Wonderful stay!"

Muskoka Waterfront Retreat

"It is a lovely area with a beautiful lake but it is a bit of a walk down. Cleanliness, well the windows were dirty, spider webs on wall and dead mosquito. Very strong smell of pine sol. One window was missing a screen. Wanted to open them all to air it out. Just 2 of us and charged an extra $50 for my husband. And an extra $80 property fee. I sent them a message as to why they charged that with no reply. I tried to find out if there was ice. I never received an answer so phoned the # and they didn’t know. There was dish soap but no cloth to dry and no rack. There is a BBQ but no oven mitts. The lamp shade on the desk was almost destroyed, not very appealing, and not clean. The beds were very comfortable and sheets and pillows were great! For the price I was expecting more. The staff were very nice, they helped us build a fire since all the wood was wet. The extra fees should be made clear beforehand and a little TLC would make this a much more pleasant stay. Bonus was they had a keurig machine, so my coffee was delicious(brought my own k-cups but they do supply Kirkland brand). It was nice to sit on the dock in the muskoka chairs but they should have more. Only 4. Also check in is so late, 4pm and check out is 10am. Not much time if staying one night."
