My wife and I were in town for a memorial service from Miami and found this property online. I can't say enough about our experience and highly highly recommend you and family stay here. Not only is it beautifully decorated but is in an amazing, peaceful environment. I especially recommend this for large family gatherings. The property has the Tiger room we rented (picture of Bill with one of his tigers framed) as well as 2 other suites connected with rocking chairs on a porch overlooking the property. Barniminium in the back has 125ft patio with incredibly comfortable couches and decor but also 2 upstairs rooms with lounge area in between. Massive rooms and space for all bedrooms. Downstairs is large lounge area with bar/kitchen and a magical sitting area in front of the stalls where Arabian horses were raised. Art on walls like something you see in the movies. Several pavilions with lighted seating around the property, coi ponds, petting zoo and a lake for fishing. He also offers a house he built for his son in same area with outdoor fire pit and large cover seating area. Trust me this place will exceed all your expectations and has several beautiful rescue dogs the kids and us fell in love with. Bill and his wife as well as his onsite support help Carlos welcomed us and ensured we had all of our needs met. Once you arrive you will just wish you had invited more friends and family to experience it and think of a way to extend your stay. Pic's are Tiger Room

Beyond expectations

Bill & Carlos were exceptional hosts. The “Tiger Room” was cozy, comfortable and we felt very much at home. Our walk around the ‘ranch’ was delightful. We would stay here again.

The property had everything we needed for a comfortable weekend stay, and it was clean, spacious, and conveniently located. We stayed in the Tiger room and enjoyed the eclectic tiger-themed decor. The host, Bill, was friendly and easy to communicate with when we checked in.

Beautiful property and home!

We had an amazing time at Bill’s place! The suite was beautiful and clean, and the property was so beautiful we decided to stay in and relax watching the sunset. Bill was so kind and made everything as easy as possible! We absolutely hope to stay here again on one of our Trade Days visits 😊

East Texas Gem

Our stay at the Tiger Room was quiet and peaceful. The owner, Bill Rathburn, gave us a tour of the beautiful property. His stories gave a glimpse into the opulent past life of his home. Very clean and had everything we needed for a weekend trip. Mineola is a historic little town with much to offer with shopping and dining. We thoroughly enjoyed our visit.

Great place

My girl called it heaven! They have rescued dogs! Cows, 2 horses and chickens on the property! Bill and Carlos are great! Our dogs loved the place as well! Zara took a bunch of pictures of our room, the Tiger room and will be leaving a review on Google.

Escape to fresh air

It was a much-needed getaway. The property was easy to locate; and the property was immaculately kept. I enjoyed seeing beautiful well-fed horses and other livestock. The fresh eggs from free-range chickens delivered to my door was quite the added touch of classic ranch living. The best element of surprise was to run into an iconic figure in my home city.

A beautiful, well manicured, friendly, little piece of heaven. Mr. Bill was awesome and tended to everything we needed. His property was absolutely gorgeous, very clean and well taken care of. Beautiful property, great suite, courteous staff!

We had a wonderful time at Dogwood Ranch! The suite was beautifully decorated and had all the amenities we needed. Carlos was so helpful and even gave us fresh eggs for our breakfast! Great place to stay. Just minutes from downtown shopping in Mineola.

Host very friendly, answered all our questions, provided detailed directions to local shops. Cottage was very comfortable, filled with lovely antiques. Beautiful fireplace built with stone making a lovely focal point for room. On a cold dreary night, there was plenty of firewood to enjoy a glass of wine watching the fire. Would highly recommend staying here, we plan to return in couple of months.

Beautiful property

We were so happy to find a dog-friendly one bedroom apartment on a lovely piece of property for our stay. Everyone was so nice. We enjoyed hearing the chickens and cattle when we walked outside around the pond. We'd definitely stay there again.

Serene and quiet. Peaceful with animals and trees and a pond. Farm land.

Exactly what the doctor ordered for my husband and I. The ground lare beautiful with lots of land, Arabian horses, cows, a beautiful pond to relax by, and quiet. The amenities are very classy. Top dollar accommodations. Owner was gone but Juan went out of his way to help us have a comfortable stay :). We will be back!

We absolutely loved our stay! The property was beautiful, peaceful, and relaxing. We stayed in the Barn apartment area. It was a little more secluded from the other areas. Bill was very kind and helpful! If ever in this area again, we will be coming back!

Bill was attentive to our every need, as was Carlos. Both men enhanced our stay. Bill was a gracious and warm host. He tells interesting stories, and is full of wisdom. He is a person you would enjoy speaking with for hours. We would highly recommend Bill and the ranch. It was beautiful and well maintained.
