"The cottage is even more beautiful in person; the decor is lovely! The kitchen is spacious and is well equipped. We only used the master bedroom; the bed was comfortable. Linens were provided; this is something I always look for. The towels were soft and the extra blankets were appreciated. I am already looking at my calendar to book my next trip. Thank you for a wonderful stay!"

"It’s old and quaint . The bathroom floor was wonky but added to the charm. Shower was clean but not much water pressure. Over all not a bad overnight stop. And the diner across the street was a bonus."

"What a charmingly rustic lodge! It was spacious and could easily accommodate twice the number of adults in our family of four. We especially loved the oversized couches, and beautiful wooden table, perfect for dining or games.The kitchen is a bit dated but functional, comfortable, and clean. The huge deck, fire pit, and expansive lawn were wonderful, and after sunset, the surrounding trees came alive with the sounds of nature. The lodge is also an easy walk to the Black Moshannon State Park recreation area, while civilization is about 20–25 minutes away by car.One heads-up: Google Maps directed us from Snow Shoe to the lodge along about five miles of dirt roads that seemed much better suited to ATVs or pickup trucks than passenger cars. It was definitely an adventure through the woods, but we’d recommend checking the route in advance!"

"The property exceeded my expectations. It is a new property with a terrific outdoor deck and a huge field attached to it that borders the river. The kitchen was spacious, the bedrooms were good sized and it was a terrific location. I had to reach out to the owner for a detail I missed and he responded immediately. I’d recommend this place if you are planning on staying in Clearfield."

"If you like the sound of a creek, this is the place to stay! The house was clean and more child-friendly than most overnight places I've stayed at. I will note that there is a wide staircase and the bathroom is upstairs, which could be challenging depending on the age of your child. For my children, it was perfect! They liked going up and down the stairs. (a novelty for them, since we have no stairs in our house) We all enjoyed sitting in the sunroom/ enclosed porch to listen to the creek and eat and play board games and watch the neighbors chickens. While there are neighbors nearby, it felt safe and private. The occasional car going by moved slowly. Highly recomend!"
