Excellent Place Just Not Clear on How to Leave It!
The apartment and facilities was excellent. We had everything we needed. The only thing was they weren't clear on how the place needed to be left. As we left everything as it was except we did not wash the towels we used. We left them on the floor. They charged us 200.00 for this. That's ridiculous!

Check in was terrible. In order to use the elevator you need a key fob which is in your room, which I was warned of. I had to walk up 5 flights of stairs with all of my luggage to get to my room. When I got there the door code I was given didn’t work. So I had to walk back down to the lobby and get the receptionist to help me get into my room. She had to use a back up code as mine wasn't functional. I'll never stay at a place like this again. It was a poorly coordinated and needlessly convuluted check in process. Oh, also, my blinds were broken so I couldn't shut out the light from the city below.

Communication about parking, about entering the building, and getting to the room after finally getting into the building should have been more detailed. The room was very clean. Three small recommendation... Real coffee pot, fix toilet paper holder as it is falling off the wall and most important, better window coverings.

Property and apartment were wonderful. It was very clean and the shower was amazing. Check in was a bit frustrating. The code we were given to get in the main entrance didn’t work. Got to our room with that code just fine but there was supposed to be a key fob in the room to enter the main doors and that wasn’t there. Ordered groceries to be delivered and we never received them. Despite the above, I would stay at the Mint House again.

We loved this property. There is no on-site parking however there are multiple public garages within a block. The building was perfect for our needs. Very comfortable. It needs to be cleaned a little better. We found dried food on the floor, and a couple other less than clean items in the room. Nothing too bad though. My biggest complaint was the checkin process. They require you to load a picture of your ID onto their website. I wasn’t comfortable with that and they said there was no other option. Our vehicle was broken into in the garage across the street and the person who did it stole two items out of it and attempted to steal the car too. This is NOT Mint House’s problem - just making note of what we experienced in the neighborhood. We would definitely stay here again, we just might need to figure out something different for our car. All in all - we loved our stay at the Mint House.

A great alternative to high-priced hotels
Aside from an oversight in the pre-cleaning (the toilet seat was not properly wiped down underneath), my experience was excellent. The facilities are far superior to a standard hotel room, and less expensive. I especially appreciated having a full kitchen to take advantage of being so close to Target. I will definitely stay here again next time!

Nice place, needs a few improvements
The atmosphere was nice, decor in main areas very enjoyable. Main 2 complaints were that the bed was so uncomfortable rhat we both woke up after the 2nd day with hip and back pain and there were no blackout curtains over the windows for midday or odd hour rest.

It all comes down to better management
I flew in and the room was supposed to be ready at 3:00, it was not so I killed and hour walking around. When I came back at 4:00 I was able to get in the room. The floor was sticky, carpets unclean, leftover and doggy-bag food in the fridge, hair on the pillows, bathroom floor, tub and shower. The front doorman (Miles) came up and together we emptied the fridge, picked up clothing tags and other garbage off the floor, he was apologetic and nice. The cleaning crew returned to spot clean the carpet and sticky floor, but never did a thorough cleaning. The cleaning crew clearly didn't work with a check sheet and had been poorly trained and supervised. Otherwise the location was great, to room was large, price right, comfortable and if clean would have been a 10 out of 10

but is it really cleaned?
The room seemed nice when we first arrived, but we had hesitation when, after reading that there is a 74 point cleaning performed, we noticed one of the 2 hinges on the toilet was completely broken off, and the seat was barely hanging on, then we saw the shower curtain was torn off of the rod in one area, the bath didn't drain, and one of the two chairs in the apt, was broken in a dangerous way, the closet door didn't fully close because the attachment at the frame was loose, and under the bed were bits of old food. It seems to me that if there was a 74 point cleaning, then they would have noticed these items and may have fixed them or at least have known about them- therefore I question if it was actually thoroughly cleaned. Other than that, it felt safe, and it was decorated nicely, and had everything that they advertised. I am not sure if I will stay in Mint again, but possibly.
