Sports Weekend Gem!

In town for a couple of sporting events. Hotel conveniently located right between Twins, Timberwolves and Vikings stadiums. Great place to park, stay and walk to events. Awesome hotel

Great place

Nice place within walking distance of most downtown. Staff was nice and courteous. Room was clean and modern. Part of a couple continuous hotels that are part of Marriott Co.

It felt like a nice hotel until we got to the room which was just OK, except the bathroom was rather disappointing. The curved shower curtain rod was installed improperly or worn out and leaning down such that the shower curtain kept falling towards the center allowing water to easily escape the shower on the sides. The showerhead had lots of buildup and had clearly not been cleaned recently; it also sprayed hard and remarkably wide, which exacerbated the aforementioned problem with the curtain rod. The toilet bowl was stained. It would have felt on par with peers if the complementary internet service was capable of basic streaming capabilities, but it was really quite weak and I ended up falling back to the Netflix service provided through the Hotel's TV interface.

Great staff and onsite dining The room was clean and housekeeping was amazing My only dislike due to the humidity was both rooms smelled like wet dog. The staff was fantastic in moving me to the second room but the new room still smelled like wet dog.-chalking it up to humidity and dampness

Stayed here to attend an event at the US Bank stadium. From check in to check out our stay was excellent. It was the fastest check in I have ever experienced. What was a plus was adding parking at check in and using room key to get in and out of the parking lot and not having to keep track of another receipt. Also, son got sick in middle of the night and I had called down to guest services and within ten minutes had another blanket and back to bed. It was nice when you walked in the room it had a clean smell. Great location! Would stay here again!

It’s a great hotel with wonderful staff, but there is very little within walking distance. Had hoped to do some shopping but after driving to find someplace to shop, everything was closed. If you are a hotel snob who lives on room service and the exercise room, it’s just great. For me, however, give me a place with vending machines and a simple microwave located near a bustling shopping mall, not an artwork in the middle of nothing and nowhere. Come on, Minneapolis, you can do better (the city, not the hotel).

For the cost of this hotel I would expect daily room cleaning, rather than by request only. I would also expect in-room dining from the restaurant in the hotel; the food is pick-up or dine-in only. The doors are extremely heavy and make a loud noise when shut; this kept me up throughout the night with people coming and going. The hotel signage is confusing. It is labelled on the tower as The Depot, Residence Inn and on the awnings in front labelled as the restaurant.
