Unexpected Disappointment
I wish I could tell you we had a stellar experience here but we definitely didn’t. The positives were that the furniture and the condo itself was comfortable and stocked very well. Our trip started out on a bad note when I had to call the front desk the first night we were there because we had no blanket for the pull out couch. They told me the soonest one could be delivered was the next day, which left us to purchase a blanket on our own for a night. I did end up receiving a text that evening stating someone was available to drop one off at our door so that crisis was averted. There was also no fitted sheet left on one of the beds nor was there a sheet so one of our kids just slept on a piece of plastic the first night. We also had to clean off the table because there was still food and sand on it from prior guests. It was pretty gross if I’m being honest. The second and third day we all noticed a really nasty stench coming from the sinks so I called and let them know the kitchen sink smelled like garbage and the bathroom sinks smelled like the sewer. The dishwasher was also not draining and had been slopping around used dirty water on all the washed dishes. They told me “if we can get someone out there, we will let you know.” And I thought to myself….IF?? That should be a priority but apparently not. I waited an entire day and heard nothing. Meanwhile, we can’t wash dishes, we can’t use the sinks much because the smell was so rancid. I ended up having to call them back to ask what the deal was. At which point the person I talked to said, “OH we can go ahead and make it a priority so someone will come today.” Once again, I thought, “was this not a priority to begin with??” But I digress. We finally got someone out there and they ended up being SUCH nice guys. So, props to the maintenance crew because they were just as polite and helpful as could be and I greatly appreciated their help. They fixed all the sinks and the dishwasher and became the heroes of our stay. Overall, we probably wouldn’t stay again as we all felt like sort of an “afterthought” for the company itself and it left a bad taste in my mouth. I didn’t feel valued as a guest and for the amount we spent for a week, that was pretty disappointing.
