Somerset Miri weekend getaway

The room was clean, with good facilities (kettle, fridge etc), housekeeping services was excellent. I would definitely recommend Somerset for value for money hotels choices.

The hotel is located in a quiet corner of Miri which ensures a pleasant stay but at the same time putting most locations in the town within walking distance. Across the road is the Kwantung cafe which offers delicious Miri comfort foods including Diang Miang Hu and Kolok Mee. There is also a cafe offering "Western" favourites; and a well-stocked groceries stores where you can purchase drinks (for the empty hotel fridge) and snacks.

Not so healthy reception area

As you open the door to the reception area, the air is unhealthy. It fill your lung with the smoking smell. Not good for young children or with asthma condition people. I was coughing while waiting for check-in but the receptionist was friendly.

This hotel was well maintained although the condition was a little bit old building.It was a pleasant stay here . However, the hotel did not prepared mineral water and we need to boil our water itself, and lacked of facilities.
