Good hotel with pleasant rooms. Good breakfast selection in the morning. Let down slightly by the poor restaurant service as it took almost an hour for our food to arrive. Nevertheless would stay again

Very nice service, lots of space to sit in the lounge, specious room, good breakfast, nice park behind hotel, easy and free car park with lots of space, Cons: no having air con, it was just way to hot, weird smell in the bathroom, mattress toppers kinda "sliding" from the mattress, perhaps too big for a bed size Overall would stay again but maybe in colder months

It was a business trip, I had to stay 2 days. It was not my first stay but i think it will be my last one. I like your breakfast but the rooms need a renovation. The rooms are to dark and the bathroom are not Stade of the time. Sorry but your service team is good the rooms are not good enough.

Exceptional Stay at Van der Valk Hotel

My recent stay at Van der Valk was truly exceptional. From the moment I arrived, the friendly and professional staff made me feel welcome. The room was spacious, modern, and clean, with all the amenities I needed for a comfortable stay. The bed was incredibly comfortable, and I had a great night's sleep every night. The bathroom was also immaculate and well-stocked with toiletries. The hotel's location was perfect for my needs, as it was close to the Düsseldorf International Airport. The hotel's breakfast buffet was delicious, with a wide variety of options to suit every taste. The restaurant and bar were also great, with a cozy atmosphere and attentive service. Overall, I had a wonderful experience at Van der Valk Hotel and would highly recommend it to anyone visiting Düsseldorf. The combination of excellent service, comfortable rooms, and great location make it an ideal choice for both business and leisure travelers.

Decent hotel but short comings

Stayed here for one night, price was good and actually cheaper via Hotels.com than with the hotel directly. The hotel is large and grand (typical of the brand) with a huge outdoor car park with no height restrictions. Room was pleasant and clean but as is the case with all German Van Der Valk Hotels the standard room was no way near as nice as the more modern Dutch ones. Worth staying when rates are low but not when high. Be warned in summer rooms would be boiling as no AC. Good breakfast buffet. Hotel let down by poor service at reception. Arrived in room and there was no TV remote so could not watch TV. Called reception and was told there was nothing that could be done. Eventually went to reception and convinced them to take a remote from an empty room. Annoying this was missed by cleaning staff and then not quickly resolved by night reception.

Das Zimmer war wie von dieser Hotelkette gewohnt, sehr geräumig. Wir bevorzugen wen möglich immer ein Van der Valk auf Reisen. Das Personal war auch dort sehr freundlich und wie immer jederzeit hilfsbereit. Es hat nur ein Wasserkocher für unser Baby auf dem Zimmer gefehlt, aber das Personal hat uns zu jederzeit mit heißem Wasser versorgt. Wir kommen wieder!

Das Hotel ist sehr in die Jahre gekommen. Ecken und Beschläge im Zimmer waren sehr abgestoßen. Uns wurde ein Zimmer gegeben, wo Handwerker arbeiteten. Im Ersatzzimmer das gleiche Problem. Handwerker wurden am Telefon vornehm Kunden rund gemacht. Im Zimmer war es sehr muffig und die Lüftung im Bad funktionierte nicht. Am Bett gibt es keine Steckdosen. Frühstück war sehr ausgesucht. Dinge wurden innerhalb von anderthalb Stunden nicht aufgefüllt (z.B. Tomaten, Mettwurst). Kaffeemaschinen waren stark bespritzt mit Kaffee. Geschirr wurde nur sehr langsam abgeholt. Insgesamt versprüht das Hotel den Charme der 1990er Jahre. Positiv waren die kostenlosen Parkplätze.

De 1ste kamer was ronduit snerig, foto's laten zien bij receptie, hierop andere kamer gekregen. Ook hier de schoonmaak ver beneden peil. Volgens schoonmaak lag dit aan de doek. Kan want ze poetsen met een handdoek. Zoveel kalk aan de kranen dat het lekt aan alle kanten. Kranen ook heel last te mengen of loei heet of koud. Ontbijt echt niet de kwaliteit die je gewend bent bij vd Valk. Min keuze, broodjes zijn echte afbakbroodjes die je bij de Kaufland koopt. 1ste dag net gaar en 2de dag net te lang. Voor spiegelei moeten vragen en daar 25 minuten op gewacht. Dit hotel nooit meer!!!

Leider war die Badewanne in einem sehr schlechten Zustand man konnte leider den Hebel zum Wechseln von Duschkopf zu laufenden Wasser aus dem Kran nicht benutzen es war zu schwer gewesen und auch nicht sauber!! Im Schlafzimmer war das Nacht Licht am Bett kaputt und hing runter, generell das ganze Zimmer brauch mal wieder richtig liebe. Ich finde es wird nicht mehr auf Sauberkeit und Ordnung geachtet!!! Wir sind seit 7 Jahre Stammkunden bei Van der Valk und wir müssen echt sagen von Monat zu Monat wird es immer schlechter mit den Zuständen der Zimmer !!! Preisleistung finde ich nicht mehr fair !! Sehr schade !!!

Das Hotel macht auf den ersten Eindruck einen sehr gehobenen Eindruck. Rezeption, Bar und Restaurant sind das Aushängeschild. Unser Zimmer (DG; am nördlichen Kopfende) konnte leider nicht zu 100% überzeugen: Begrüßt wird man mit einem sehr intensiven Duft-/Reinigungsmittel-Geruch. Wer empfindlich auf Parfüme bzw. zitronen-lastige Reinigungsmittel ist, wird hier nicht glücklich. Es brennt schon sehr in der Nase. Will man hier etwas überdecken? Frische Luft erhält man nur, wenn man die Kühl-Turbinen der 12 Tesla Supercharger in Kauf nimmt. Aber grundsätzlich rauschte es sowieso enorm in unseren Räumlichkeiten: Das Heizungssystem war trotz warmen Spätsommer sehr aktiv. Kommen wir zum Hygienebereich: Eine Einhand-Duscharmatur, sowie eine Handbrause, statt festem Wand-Duschkopf wären toll und mehr als zeitgemäß. Elegante, silbern schimmernde Bodenfliesen sind schön, aber leider sehr rutschig. Schlafbereich: Die Einzelbetten (zum Doppelbett zusammengestellt) mit einzelnen Toppern, waren leider sehr instabil. Kein Halt an der Sitzkante, die Liegefläche war eingeschränkt , weil der Topper bei Personen >100kg schnell aus der Form gerät. Zum dem kam er mir wenig atmungsaktiv vor (Gummibezug?) Die sonstige Ausstattung war aber ok. USB Ports oder leicht zugängliche Steckdosen am Bett wären praktisch. Wir werden uns wohl für einen nächsten Aufenthalt eine Alternative suchen.
