"Marcela & Maurice were wonderful hosts. They made our children (age 9 & 6) feel very welcome. They fostered a warm spirit with all the other guests staying at the guest house & the location is great for seeing some of the spots in the Loire Valley. Thank you!"

"Belle demeure de charme située au bord d'une route nationale très passante surtout dans les heures de pointe. Ma chambre était spacieuse et confortable avec une bonne literie et avec une belle salle de bains avec douche à l'italienne. Excellent petit déjeuner ,copieux et varié avec confitures et yaourts maison , charcuterie et fromages locaux,...Super accueil des proprios très sympathiques. "

"It was a privilege to stay in this hotel. Wonderful architecture and characterful accommodation. The staff are very friendly and welcoming, and the food is excellent. If you like bland custom built corporate chain hotels this is not for you. But if you would like a unique experience and to know that by staying you are helping to fund its renovation then the Grand Hotel de l’Abbaye will suit you very well."
