Lovely welcome from the staff Told us a little about the history of the hotel.Lovely comfy room-very spacious.Lovely cooked breakfast in the morning Definitely stay again Thank you
Northop Hall Hotel had beautiful grounds and loads of parking. It was a little out of town so you would need a vehicle. The room was comfortable but if you have heavy luggage…be warned that there was no elevator!
Overall, it was a great stay for a night. The staff were lovely!

Pleasant stay, room was spacious and comfortable, windows didnt open which as well as making the room stuffy seems unsafe in the event of fire. Quiet, lovely surroundings.

Comfortable stay, pleasant location. Room clean and had everything needed for our one night stay. Unfortunately no bar or restaurant at present but a communal room with fridge and microwave available if needed.

Awful breakfast but room okay
Room was ok, reception staff were friendly and showed us to our room. Breakfast was awful took an hour and a half to be given a menu and then had to remind the guy to take our order and everyone around us said the food was awful and we are wasting our time so we went elsewhere
We had a comfortable night stay. We were aware there were no food or drink facilities on site. Tea and coffee in the room was appreciated. Very clean and enough room for 3 of us for one nights stay.
The place will no doubt be beautiful once the refurbishment is complete. Set in beautiful grounds. However in the interim it has the feel of a cross between Faulty Towers and the marie celeste. No staff on site after 9pm and everyone left to fend for themselves. A couple of guests got locked out because the outdoor entry code was not shared with them by the receptionist. Saw them banging on the door.
For the price, brilliant.
Check in was easy, room was clean and spacious, bathroom was clean and a good size. The shower was hot and a decent pressure too.
The area was quiet, I saw a few other guests ranging from retired couples to a family with a young child who enjoyed running round on the lawn.
Absolutely wouldn't hesitate to stay again. maybe some basic snacks for sale would be a good idea in the absence of a bar or restaurant.
There was no food available due to refurbishment of the kitchen but a staff member Toni took me in her car to the nearest Chinese takeaway - a service above and beyond the call of duty. Very helpful friendly staff.
The hotel is not actually in the town of Mold as I thought but in Northop, a few miles outside.
the character of the building blew our minds, not what we were expecting from the photos on here, the room had been recently renovated to a good standard, new carpet, fresh linen, clean towels.
the staff were so attentive and helpful and didn't even get to creeped out when we bought in a prop replica of the Annabelle doll.
we are looking forward to retuning especially when the renovation of the bar and restaurant is complete and open
The positives: Lovely check in lady, large room, very comfortable bed, dog friendly, most areas recently refurbished, access from A55. For the price, this place is excellent.
Breakfast was good, I had a freshly cooked breakfast, toast & a yoghurt. Decor is generally fresh. Plenty of parking. Nice, spacious grounds. Large dining room.
The parts for improvement are, glasses in the room/bathroom, a hotel info pack (I had to call to check the breakfast times as forgot & nowhere to see it). A bit more cleaning of communal areas (some cobwebs in the windows in the dining room).
It was very quiet, only a few people staying. I really hope the refresh brings more people in and they could consider opening the bar/restaurant in the evenings.
All in all though, I'd definitely stay there again. Great value, lovely grounds and genuinely the best sleep I've had in a long time on the comfortable bed.

Northop Hall Hotel
We liked the Northop Hall Hotel. The grounds are lovely, it’s got character. Nice country house. There is no breakfast or meals served. Nobody on reception, except for check ins. We found the tea/coffee in room great, and the fridge and microwave in shared dining hall useful.
Was working for a week in the area, and this was a perfect base. Good connections to the A55 and plenty of parking at the hotel.
The room had the basic amenities and a larger than usual television for such a room.
Water took a short while to get warm, but once it was going the pressure and temperature was excellent.
No bar or other hospitality services, but suited my situation, made for a quiet but comfortable hotel for a week.
