"I’ve stayed in many beautiful hotels around the world, but Botlierskop is, without question, the best hotel I’ve ever experienced. Booked 1 night, stayed 2 - best decision we made. One night isn't enough! We don’t often return to the same place, but we’ll definitely be back. The setting, the people, the service, the wildlife — it all came together to create a truly unforgettable stay. We stayed in a deluxe tent, which was stunning and incrediblycomfortable. The spa was equally impressive. What really sets this reserve apart is the attention to detail and level of service. The staff were warm, professional, and genuinely passionate. Huge thanks to the lovely reception team, the knowledgeable and funny sommelier, our amazing guides (especially Kali on our game drive and Victor for horse riding), and Jeclan the porter, who made us feel so welcome. We also had another wonderful guide on our morning game drive, extremely knowledgeable, though we sadly missed his name. The reserve is huge, spanning two valleys, and unlike other reserves, all animals live in the same natural environment. Animals roam freely, just as they would in the wild. The commitment to conservation is clear — from maintaining ecological balance to protecting endangered specie. You can feel that wildlife and nature come first here. We even had the once-in-a-lifetime experience of horse riding beside giraffes. We highly recommend doing both the morning and evening game drives — each offers something unique. "

"I do not make a habit of writing reviews. For me to do so means that something has either fallen well short of an expected standard or has far exceeded them. This review falls into the latter. I Spent two nights at this property in September 2025 (suite 6). If you want to know what a 5-star boutique offering should look like then this is the exemplar. The interior design and overall finish on the property is superb. Some absolutely exquisite art works and pieces of furniture are complemented by some relevant and inspirational sporting memorabilia. Just stand at the back of the guest lounge area, look out over a stunning seascape and drink in the sheer elegance and finesse of this place. There are so many additional features including the excellent quality of complementary snacks, drinks and toiletries and the provision of beach chairs and towels. However, it’s more than simply just the provision of beach towels, more it’s the way in which they are presented. Not just laid out on a chair or table but carefully rolled and placed into a wicker carrier that is easily transportable onto the beach. It’s just those simple, classy examples of attention to detail that lifts Beach Villa to another level. Absolutely superb. Thank you. "

"The pictures online do not show the overall shabby condition of the property. The property has not been updated in a long time and it shows. Window latches broken, poor quality curtains that do not block out the bright outside lights at night. The ceiling paint in the bathroom was pealing and the net curtains ere dirty. Paint splashes on the doorknob and a broken curtain tie in the corner on the floor. All round just not the quality type of property I would ever stay in. And the photos are a little misleading. The pool is nice, but that is about it."
