"This hotel was perfect for my family. We enjoyed that the beach was literally right next to the pool. Made it so easy to go the beach and than relax in the pool. Hotel overall is great , the rooms are spacious, I love how there is a living room area where my 1 year old was able to play and separate from the the beds it’s self. I highly recommend this hotel"
"We had a great stay at Honua Kai. Our 3-bedroom villa was spacious, well laid out, and worked really well for our group of eight (4 adults and 4 kids). It had everything we needed and never felt crowded.
Since it's a tropical destination, seeing the occasional bug wasn't surprising. When we mentioned it to the hotel, they responded quickly and sent the cleaning team back the next day for another thorough sweep, which we appreciated.
The pools were definitely a highlight for our family. The kids had a fantastic time, especially on the waterslide, and there was plenty of space for everyone to relax and enjoy the property.
Overall, it was a comfortable and enjoyable stay, and we'd be happy to return!"
"The most wonderful thing about the resort is the gorgeous view from the room. We were on the 4th floor and had the most magnificent view! We watched turtles swimming by, swimmers, snorklers, an occasional boat, clouds that were forever changing, and the best sunrises and sunsets. We could also see two islands - Molokai and Lanai. All rooms face the ocean and have small balconies. Simply take an elevator directly downstairs and there is a lovely warm water swimming beach a 25 steps away. There is quite a bit of sand erosion so at certain times of the day the beach was narrow but there are lounges up above a few stairs above the beach. There was a medium sized refrigerator, microwave, coffee maker, toaster and small cooktop. The room was clean and tastefully decorated. Do not expect any expensive high end frills. For us, the simplicity was peaceful, we loved that it was not crowded and fairly priced. Service was good. I asked the cleaning lady for 1 beach towel since ours was accidentally taken from a lounge chair and when we returned there were four clean beach towels awaiting us in our room. Another time our toilet paper holder broke and it was fixed within an hour. There is a nice bar/restaurant right next door at the Sands (their sister property). I would recommend renting a car from Aloha Rentals. This made it easy to go to Lahina for dinners and explore other parts of the island. I would stay here again!"
"Good location for this money. Room furniture old but well maintained some strange smells in a cabinets but after we used Laysol smells disappear.
Good friendly staff, great bed and pillows."
