"Lovely quiet holiday in the country, and still on the Algarve, not an English breakfast or fish and chips in sight, the accommodation is great and suited us well, plenty of room to site out on the patio's and enjoy the sunshine. It's a five mile drive to get to the shops so a car is a necessity, there is a little Portuguese cafe / bar just down the road that does nice coffee. "Thank you Helena, We stayed for just five nights, we needed a quiet break away and this Villa was perfect. It was very clean and tidy and the pool was wonderful. The Villa is old and rustic, authentically Portuguese with antique but adequate furniture. The kitchen is dated and unfortunately has no cupboards for food storage, just the fridge but it is clean and there is a dishwasher which is great after using the coal fired BBQ. "- Berta was incredible welcoming and made our stay a home from home. - Very quiet location with beautiful grounds - Umbrella tree; great for having breakfast under. - Close to Lagos and other highlights of the Algarve. "The beach was very busy during the day with bumping music beginning at 9am. No privacy on deck. People walk onto deck thinking it’s the walking trail between beaches. A good spot for young adults. Pictures make it look remote and private, it’s beautiful but very public and busy. Also, no actual access to caves from beach level."

"Place is just as described. Very small but great location with view of the beautiful beach from our balcony and close to restaurants!! Great area for hiking. We had some trouble finding it and had to ask local resident. In your check in notes you could mention it’s above the ice cream shop and there’s a narrow access on the left across from Breeze cafe !"

"The pool was closed and has been for some time as they are rebuilding it. This was not advertised when booking nor was it communicated to us afterwards. Bike hire and meals also need to be arranged the day before , again this wasn't communicated to us when booking or when speaking to the reception on the phone prior to arriving. It's a lovely village but I think it's not ok to advertise facilities that aren't available as this was a big reason why we chose it. I would definitely go again though...

"The house is perfect for a couple, wouldn’t have changed anything. The garden is beautiful and leads to the cliff tops with lovely walks east and west. With orchids and birds in the garden it was perfect for the naturalist in me to enjoy. Simon was helpful and friendly. Just a really lovey time for us both."

"We really enjoyed our stay. The property is old and could use some updating, but it was clean and well cared for. The staff was accommodating - they even brought us complimentary champagne after noticing during check in that it was my husbands birthday. The onsite parking is free and convenient if you have a car. The surrounding area is quiet, and only a short walk to downtown Albufeira. The extra money for the beach front room was well worth it. We had the best view from our balcony and enjoyed the sound of the ocean. "
