"There was no dishwasher. The utensils were extremely dirty. The tea kettle was dirty we could not use it. There was not even 1 extra towel for the whole stay. The parking is at a different level than the property it was extremely difficult to bring our things to the room. "

"This is a hotel you'll want to return to. The location is superb, right in the heart of the Black Forest. The rooms are very comfortable, with balconies and views of the mountains and forest. They have everything you need, except for the minibar. The breakfast is fantastic, with the option of ordering egg dishes. A wide selection of cheeses, sausages, vegetables, and fruits is available. Champagne is also available. The staff is ready to help with any questions. The spa complex consists of several saunas and a small pool. There's a panoramic sauna, but it's not very conveniently located. There are a lot of steps. Conclusion: a fantastic hotel for a relaxing holiday."

"I stumbled upon Sombea during a trip through Southern Germany, and I highly recommend this hotel to anyone staying in the area. "Excellent rural area but well connected by an hourly bus to Lake Titisee. Other services available if required Hotel is only a 20 minute mostly downhill walk to Lake Titisee but steep uphill back. Hence bus recommendation. We had a comfort room with a balcony big enough for 2 chairs supplied with cushions. Good size room. The mattress was a little hard for our taste. The car park always had spaces. The garden area good. We enjoyed the food in the restaurant but always opted to choose in the evening from the menu. Cosy restaurant with a good atmosphere. Breakfast was good. Very friendly helpful staff "
