"Super cool apartment in the old wall city. NOTE: There is no reception and you need to contact Casa Palma for arrival to arrange meeting for keys and payment. It's like finding a apartment in an ancient maze, but amazing once you find it. We didn't know about contacting the host, we were horrified that it was just closed for the season, but once we called, it was very worth the extra trouble, best stay in Greece."

"Gregory and all the staff took a keen interest in us as people. From the minute we arrived they helped us and showed us around. Gregory’s father works there as well and he gave me some of his sun screen when we had none. They opened the veranda dining are early for plus to eat our take out food. Gregory showed us the art gallery on site and bragged about his local community. We felt like we got special attention the entire time we were here. AMAZING PEOPLE at Elea Mare! "

"This is a very unique medieval castle and the rooms we stayed in were full of amazing character, beautiful architecture and stylish furniture. The staff were amazing, so warm and welcoming, I could not rate them more highly. They went out of their way to care for us. The breakfast every morning was fantastic, just about everything you could want was there and delicious. The rooms were a good size, clean and comfortable, with plenty of room for luggage. A very enjoyable experience. "

"We loved our time there, even though we had bad coughs and colds the whole time! We had finished a 2-week trip with friends in Turkey and Greece, and this was our special "couple time" to celebrate a big anniversary - but we had gotten sick the week before. Still, Jimmy and the staff at the hotel did a WONDERFUL job providing and caring for us, and it was such a special time. I couldn't recommend a hotel higher! And if you're going to be stuck in bed, this is the place to be. :-)"

"Truly excellent experience. Had a wonderful time and our room was spotless with a great view of the sea. Highly recommend. Zoi's (marble) cakes are delicious and Paula (owner) is very kind, polite and helpful. Smacked in the middle of Pounta (Elafonisos Ferry) and Neapoli (nearest town) makes it a perfect location, not to mention the beach right in front of the hotel with a nearby (2 min walk) beach bar. Would love to visit again!"

"Conveniently placed at the bus station from Athens. The staff were nice. Clean room with view of the Monemvasia itself. Quiet room despite having a bar on the ground floor. Very good value for the price."
