"If you are coming to Monemvasia you should really stay within the castle walls to get the full experience. The hotel is towards the east end of the castle but a very easy walk (5 mins) through the lower town. Like all hotels inside the castle, it is really a cluster of separate houses made into hotel ..."

"Der Aufenthalt war super. Die Lage ist perfekt, um wunderschöne Strände in der Nähe zu besuchen. Das Dorf ist authentisch und richtig schön. Restaurants und Bars sind in direkter Nähe. Volker und Liza waren super gastfreundlich. Ich kann die Villa Elika nur weiterempfehlen!"

Sep 12, 2019One of our favorite places in Greece. We spent 3 hours hiking around the ruins in Upper Town. We went swimming just outside the sea gate. No beach but lovely. There are no cars allowed in town so it's a nice place to walk and hang out.

Feb 8, 2019Is is a dream place. Literally a castle in an island. It is rather quiet in winter, many restaurants where closed during the week. Excellent dinner at Voltes (right at the entrance of the castle). Walking up to the Citadel was worthwhile the view.
