"Hey, it’s still Super8- it’s cheesy and minimalistic. However, this place has the most firm and quality mates of any place I have stayed in the last year. Everything worked- nice hot water, refrigerator, and new decor and flooring. It’s still an old building with creaky foes and the got upstairs stomped around in his boots. "

"First time staying and we enjoyed it. It's an older place but kept up well. Rooms are spacious and include a living room area, which was nice. Staff were all great. Breakfast (included) was a mixed berry waffle, hard boiled egg and fresh fruit. Certainly enough to tide us over for the morning! Also, there is a wine reception at 5. Lots of things not really mentioned on the website, but delightful. On the negative side. The flow of water in (#7) the shower is painfully low and you cannot get hot water at the bathroom sink, and there was a used washcloth on the shower head from a previous guest! Small things, but this could be better. Regardless, we'll be back, as the rest was great! "

"Everything and everyone was great except that it was noisier than I expected. The carbon monoxide alarm went off after 9pm when the office staff was already gone for the day. I could hear one of the people in the neighboring room speaking. And, the train whistle blew loudly at 4 am; I had the windows open so the carbon monoxide alarm would not sound again. "

"A lot of thought went into creating Callahan’s Mountain Lodge. Upon entering the lady at the desk Michelle was so very helpful. As I was struggling with this odd heavy bag she readily offered to help me get everything to my room. There is a real wood burning fireplace (plenty of wood available in the hallway.)The room was very spacious with a king bed, large jacuzzi, table and chairs, coffee area with good sized frig and two chairs with a small table (convenient plug in floor) to use your iPad and enjoy the fireplace and charge your electrical items right there. Huge chest of drawers and large TV rounded out the room. It’s nice to see real wood being used for the furniture and thankfully someone here realized there are other colors in the universe other than dead flat white. Walls were a much more calming sandy color. Two sinks in the bathroom extra large shower stall and a three section mirror. There was even a small towel that said makeup, so you don’t get makeup on your clothes in the morning. A door leads out to a huge deck with rocking chairs to sit and enjoy the breathtaking scene in front of you. Large restaurant for breakfast in the morning. I was sorry I had eaten before check-in as something smelled tasty. Lastly, several people had dogs with them so good pet place too. "

"It was right off I-5 and right next to black bear restaurant,McD’s,and gas stations plus it was clean,updated and quiet.would definitely stay there again."

"Our stay was great! The beds were comfortable, but I’ll be honest, the pillows could have been better. The cotton inside the pillows were balled up. The shower had great pressure, so that’s awesome! The customer service is top tier. We had an issue with the guest upstairs.. kept us up until 4am with back and forth walking.. and they were able to move us to another room. I would definitely stay here again. It’s in a great location and close to everything. Highly recommend! "
