"I traveled to Vernon for a wedding and opted to pay a little extra money for Mountain Creek rather than staying at the cheaper option that was given through the wedding accommodations. I was really looking forward to a nice sleep, sipping coffee and relaxing the morning after the day.
Upon getting to Mountain Creek, the code that was texted to me for entrance to my room was wrong. When I went to the shop (there is no check in desk), I was rudely told that I could have just texted the number back rather than coming down (nowhere in the text did it say to text back for questions). It was very apparent that the staff did not want to interact during check in. They gave me my correct code and five minutes after getting into the room, a maintenance man walked into the room unannounced.
In the morning, I woke up and attempted to make coffee. After 3 attempts, it was apparent that the coffee maker was broken. I turned on the TV to sit on the couch and relax and the screen stated antenna error. I texted the number for guest services and the response was "I will tell IT about the TV". There was no apologies or offer of coffee to make up for the broken coffee maker.
I am very disappointed in my stay. In reading the print, they charge additional fees for early check in, late check out, and if there's even a hint of pets on the premises, you will be fined. This business seems very money-hungry without provided anything substantial to warrant the higher cost of a resort accommodation. "
