"This was a truly special experience, to stay right on the square, opposite the incredible cathedral, in the centre of the stunning and very peaceful hilltop town of Laon. We were lucky enough to visit during the summer light show and watched it from our balcony. The staff were incredibly friendly and welcoming, and the apartment was amazing - huge and really well equipped and comfortable. Brilliant to have the local parking, which is in a spacious, gated outdoor area not far from the hotel (we were a bit worried about parking, and it turned out we needn't have been at all). Highly recommend the breakfast, and the restaurant for dinner, which was also amazing!"
"From start to finish, this hotel exceeded our expectations. The restaurant was amazing, a true 1 Michelin Star. The staff went above and beyond for our satisfaction and the property is very nice! A true castle experience! Don't skip the breakfast: Ideal to start the day on the right foot and very generous! If you are planning a visit in the Champagne area and want to have a true castle experience, don't skip this one! We had a room upgrade which was really nice. The room was spacious and the view on the garden was amazing!"
"Hôtel correct, chambre agréable. Salle de bain spacieuse. J'aurai préféré une douche plutôt qu'une baignoire.
Très bon petit déjeuner, dommage que à cause d'un "problème technique", je n'ai pas pu prendre mon petit déjeuner le dernier jour."
"Lovely hotel - great views, nice big rooms, friendly staff…pool was lovely too. Free bikes to use was brilliant and much appreciated along with table football and play area and more for free. Our only niggle is how expensive the food and drinks were for the quality. Was fine food but priced to be exceptional which it wasn’t…and beers almost twice what you pay elsewhere. But to be honest - made up for by everything else being great!"
"We hebben 2 fijne weken gehad met vrienden. Het huis is ruim genoeg, voldoet aan alle voorzieningen die je nodig hebt.We hebben veel gebruik gemaakt van het grote zwembad."
"Convenient stopover stay travelling down to Southern Europe. Friendly staff and v reasonable price. Restaurants nearby and Laon old town is worth looking around although up 200+ steps."
"We booked this hotel, last minute for a one night stop off on our way home after a few weeks travelling through Europe and we couldn’t have been happier with our choice.
We booked a classic room (cheapest) and it was superb, the AC worked very well in the heat, the room was huge with a seating area, great bathroom and separate toilet.
We didn’t use the spa but the pool was quiet and very welcoming after a long drive.
The staff all deserve a mention as the service is second to none but the highlight was the evening meal in the restaurant, we had planned to eat on the bistro as we thought the food in the main Michelin guide restaurant would be a bit fancy for us (we love good food but aren’t reay foodies) but as this wasn’t an option due to the bistro being closed we gave it a go and we’re glad we did as it was fantastic. We ended up having a main course and dessert each but this was accompanied by an amous bouche (thinks that’s how you spell it!), a huge hunk of bread and a pallet cleanser between courses, the wine list is extensive and way over my head but we managed to find a lovely bottle of Puilly fuilles to suit our taste and budget!!
I should also mention that the restaurant terrace is beautiful especially when the sun go s down and the lights are on.
Anyway, to summarise - great hotel, fabulous staff and restaurant!!"
