"On ne pourrait pas se sentir plus en Italie que dans la maison de Massimo. On est dans du traditionnel, le charme désuet. Une vue a couper le souffle. D'abord sur les vignes puis au loin les Alpes et le Monviso. Le calme est absolu. Pour les soirs les plus frais, la cheminée est top. Particulièrement adaptée pour des séjours en famille ou entre bons amis, deux des chambres étant en enfilade."

However, after renting holiday properties for almost 15 years we dare say that this one has let us down in several aspects. First and foremost it is not equipped sufficiently to serve 4 adults leave alone the 8 advertised. I.e. we only found a 2 cup Bialetti Mokka maker and a 4 cup filter coffee maker in the entire house; there were only 4 big coffee mugs for all...

"Lovely old villa located in the midst of the grape vines just outside Canelli. Gated (electric) entrance with plenty of parking inside the wall. Beautiful views across the valley with vineyards, hazelnut trees, and a local flock of sheep! Tricky 1.5 km drive up a narrow road with lots of twists and turns to get to the villa, but you get used to it after a day or two! Diane and Brian were excellent hosts and most gracious, very willing to answer all our questions, make recommendations, and help...

"The accommodation and facilities are just fine without being fancy, the provision of a coffee machine was very well received. The pool and pool area are lovely, and outside in the garden it's very tranquil with amazing views out across the mountains towards Dogliani, the nearest town of any size."

Great space and fantastic views. Very comfortable and everything you need. Hosts also live on property - and while our Italian is very limited and they have little English - we communicated OK and they were very friendly and generous."

"Ruhiger und entspannter, ursprünglicher Ort für erholsame Ferien. Etwas abseits gelegen, dies sollte man bei täglichen Fahrtstrecken einberechnen. Dafür wundervolle Gastgeber, 2 tolle Hunde und viel Ruhe und Beschaulichkeit. Wir haben zudem viel gelernt über das Kultivieren von Haselnüssen - die Tour mit Essen ist sehr zu empfehlen. Het huis ligt vrij centraal voor een bezoek aan de verschillende dorpjes/steden en wijngebieden in de buurt. Complimenten voor de eigenaar Andrea! Hij is zeer gastvrij, behulpzaam en staat altijd voor je klaar! We hebben met 2 gezinnen genoten van een heerlijke vakantieweek!!"

Jan's place is an absolute gem, nestled in the hills above Canelli, surrounded by vines with stunning views, a pool, ping pong table, barbecue, etc. The house itself is spacious, well-furnished, and features a modern kitchen with everything you need to cook delicious meals. Best of all, it's secluded enough to make it perfectly safe if you want to let your children roam freely, yet still close enough to easily zip into town. Canelli itself is gorgeous, essentially...

"Property located among vines and 1 km from Calosso centre and its limited bar although the ristorante d'elsa is 50m away and open for lunch. Various locations (Canelli, Stefano Belbo, Agliano, Moasca) are all within 5mls with all necessary facilities and services. A sufficiency of ristorante/agriturismi are scattered among the local countryside and small supermarket nearby with larger concern in Costigliole, 7kms away. If I ever fulfill my dream of owning a property in Italy a house such as this...
