"Food was borderline mediocre and restaurants within the resort were open only specific hour.Employees constantly harassed me and most of the staff was rude"

"Booked 2 rooms for me and daughters for our vacation at a smaller resort this time. What I received 1 rm that I ordered and 1 that was outdated, infested with ants and did not have the amenities of my other room such as a balcony or drawers in the room. My room was secluded in a corner overlooking the flat roof and an ac unit. This reservation was made months ahead even on their website a superior king room in which I booked I clearly only received 1 out of the 2 . I was told they couldn't accommodate me I asked if they didn't know the type of rooms by rm number and they said no. This did put a damper on my stay. The food was subpar and little variety ate daily at the grill near the pool every day. Now the good parts the staff 90% friendly and helpful and the location on the hip strip right across the street from Doctor's cave beach free access by resort. Transfer per party $15 supplied by resort great option really close to the airport. One last thing you will get your steps in no elevator but they guys helped with our luggage to the 3rd floor. Overall I wouldn't recommend or return to this motel. After reading other reviews I clearly know that everyone's opinion is subjective and this is mine. Don't stay in room 214... my beautiful room outside my window rooftop and ac units. Reading the description of superior king room they dropped the ball on this one. No balcony no drawers in the room"

"I honestly do not understand the hype behind this place. For the amount you pay here — easily $100–150 per person depending on drinks and appetizers — the experience was shockingly bad from start to finish. I’ve genuinely received better customer service from Chick-fil-A and even McDonald’s. The service was one of the worst parts. Our salad came out completely dry with no dressing, and after trying multiple times to get someone’s attention, the staff either ignored us or acted annoyed that we were asking for basic things. It felt like once they dropped the food off, we no longer existed. Water glasses stayed empty, dirty plates sat on the table forever, and nobody checked on us. For a restaurant charging premium prices, you expect professionalism, attention to detail, and at least decent hospitality. Instead, the staff seemed disorganized, uninterested, and completely disconnected from the dining experience. The food itself was mediocre at best and definitely not worth the price point. I don’t mind paying for expensive meals when the quality and service match the cost, but this felt like paying luxury prices for fast-food level service — except somehow slower and less attentive. Extremely disappointing experience overall, and unfortunately not somewhere I would recommend or return to."

JOIA Rose Hall by Iberostar - Adults Only - All Inclusive

"I stayed at Jiao Iberostar for a week to celebrate my sister's birthday during our first trip to Jamaica. The location itself is beautiful .The pools, beach, and variety of activities on the resort kept us entertained throughout the stay. Unfortunately, the biggest issue was the staff, especially some of the female staff members. We experienced rude behavior and felt racially profiled during our stay. It was very noticeable that white guests were treated with more respect, received quicker service, and were given far more attention than we were. What made this even more disappointing is that I have previously stayed at Iberostar in Mexico, where the experience was absolutely breathtaking. The staff there treated us like queens everyone was friendly, kind, welcoming, and always willing to go above and beyond. Because of that experience, I expected the same level of hospitality in Jamaica, which is why I chose this resort in the first place. It's truly a shame to feel racially profiled by our own people while trying to enjoy a special family vacation. During checkout, a member of the guest services team asked us to leave a review of the property, and we agreed. She then asked to see my phone so she could show me where to leave the review, but instead she began writing a 5-star review herself. She said, “I want to make sure you review us.” That’s when I told her our stay had not been great at all. That made me question how many of the 5-star reviews were writen by staff"

"i can tell you that the location is great! The guy who is the cab driver for the hotel he is great too and I found him reliable and trustworthy when we booked him to go to a few places. The hotel itself is not for me at all. I read the reviews before booking and others seem to like here but it is not for me and I would never return. I'm just not used to staying in motels. If I'm honest their website pics of the place look so nice and new but it didn't meet reality but maybe its just the room we had and maybe they will get around to making it all nice, clean and new one day. The staff seem cool but I will say they are very forgetful or purposefully forgetful/don't communicate because we would make a request I.e there's ants all over the bathroom toilet and bath and they would say they would send someone but never did. We went and told them our room phone didn't work and since we paid for a deluxe room which could order for room service so needed a working phone they said we will come and sort it but never did. We would go and ask the restaurant directly since no working phone can we order and have room service they made up their faces saying no but we would see them bring food to other rooms but that's ok. Breakfast was hit and miss. A couple things we ordered looked really yummy but tasted so bland it was annoying cause there was no seasoning in the food not even salt! Once we added salt and pepper ourselves it was alright. The pancakes was delicious yum"
