"The breakfast was fair and we didn’t have any body soap. I spilled alittle bit of water on the carpet and I cleaned up up and the carpet was really dirty but it looked clean. The front of the building looks very nice but the side and back had trash all over and that’s where we walked our dog. I think for the price it was fine"

"There were some problems with our key cards but the staff fixed them with no issues. We were at the end of the hall on the first floor and the key card reader on the outside door right by our room was broke so we couldn’t use it. The rooms could use some upkeep with paint and furniture but the room was clean. The water pressure was terrible in the shower. There was a funny smell in the hotel lobby and they burn incense pretty often. Overall if you need a clean place to sleep and don’t care about looks or it being fancy, this is the place. The breakfast was decent. Nothing spectacular but it did the trick for us."

"I was headed to Grand Isle for a birding trip and stayed overnight in Golden Meadow as the hotels on the Island were expensive and most wouldn't book a one night stay. Southern Breeze Lodge was perfect in every way, from the friendly ladies in the office to the clean room, comfortable beds, and convenience of having a gas station, GoBears Grocery and Noble Roman's Pizza all within walking distance of the lodge! I recommended it to all my fellow birders and will definitely stay there again."

"Wonderful place to stay right on the water with its own boat ramp for such a convenient place to stay. Dollar store right up the way. And Houma 15-20 minutes drive. I’ve stayed multiple.times without any issues what so ever. I come to the area once a year and will always book this place. Good fishing right off the dock at night under the lights of the docks.Always enjoy the stay. "
