10/10 Excellent

"Our stay at this hotel did not disappoint. The staff were all excellent. When checking in, I had not mentioned my mother was unable to walk up lots of stairs so they quickly changed our room. This was large and spacious - had great views. They also accommodated my mother’s birthday cake and set the table beautifully with thoughtful birthday additions. Kelvin, in the Oak Restaurant, made our meal and experience great with his humour and thoughtfulness. This was all reasonably priced - quality at an affordable price. I would definitely recommend this hotel."

"The size of the shower cubicle was brilliant, and a small seat to sit on. The room blacked out nicely. The air conditioning didn't seem to work. Worst thing was that when I sat down to my cereal and fruit with yoghurt I found a hair in it that was too long to be mine and was blond, I'm grey! Put me off that completely. Also the tea counter was empty of decaf tea and there was none available from the store. I'm completely decaf. Fortunately I have my own supply, but stock levels should be checked."

"Our only complaint was that we didn't stay long enough to enjoy all that was available. The accommodation was great (we stayed in a lodge), the staff were helpful and friendly, the food was great (Sunday roast buffet highly recommended), room was clean and well maintained and the bar and gardens were wonderful. We will definitely stay there again if we're in the area"

"It was a very hot day. The room was small but they did what they could to reduce the heat curtains were shut fan was on bar having air con they had tried. Clean and tidy. Breakfast was the best thing continental and hot offer good menu. Booked a table for Sunday evening good menu. Had a Sunday roast very nice. All in all a good stay. Parking is at the back of the hotel which has a different post code."

"The staff were fabulous, both leading up to our stay when they helped me with some surprises for my friend, and during our stay when nothing was too much trouble! I was able to order an extra package of fizz and flowers, which were placed in one of our rooms upon arrival, together with the banner that I sent ahead. THANKS"
