The people were excellent. The atmosphere superb! The location wonderful. Only the restaurant area was so blab, needs major decorating. Art looks like a 6 yr old No colors match, very uncomfortable chairs. Very stark and boring room. Orherwise a wonderful stay at a beautiful castle

Montone is what may be a unique ancient small walled village that I think the 300 or so residents would like to keep that way. It is like a movie set.
