Also the information on Hotels.com did not make the out of hours check in process clear. Luckily I arrived while the receptionist was present. "

"This is a pleasant characterful property, with the sort of period charm we prefer rather than clincal modernity. The check-in was efficient and welcoming. Our top floor room was spacious and comfortable wth a good sofa as a bonus. The breakfast was continental, with no hot options as expected. The only thing that stopped this from being 5star is that, despite nice touches like an orange juicing machine and plum moelleux cake, there was less than average choice of standard items of prepared fruit and pastries. This was just a stopover for us on the way back to the ferry from Switzerland, so we didn't spend time in the town other than to view the river from the bridge, and enjoy the local cuisine and ambience at the Bonaventure in the main square."

"What a treat staying in a castle. Rooms very spactious, bathroom was large. Dining room was amazing. Food was wonderful. Worth the experience."

"Great place to stop on route back to UK. Clean rooms. Nice small town to visit. Limited EV charging so check if you need it as I was told I couldn’t charge as in use, however a later guest was allowed to charge, however there is a fast charger close by."
