"The house was spotless, lovely beds and linen. The hosts were very helpful. Very nice outside spaces. The area was great for us as we were revisiting places we had visited 20 plus years ago, but it was not on the beach as stated in the description, families might be disappointed.We are English and would have appreciated mugs for our tea!Overall a great place for us and I can see us returning."

"Villa Roccia is great. Beach just across the road was fabulous for late evening walks…but the pool and hot tub area was the star of the holiday. The village has a couple of grocery shops with a wonderful boulangerie too. Everyone was friendly, especially the host, Carine. Wonderful holiday. Long drive from uk but French roads and drivers are so much calmer than uk, so it was stress free from Calais."

"My family and I have enjoyed a really lovely week in this great house. The property is very well equipped very comfortable and has everything you could need. There’s plenty of space for everyone and the kids appreciate the WiFi. It was very easy to find and thanks to Kevin the caretaker we soon felt at home. One of the best things for me was that you don’t really need a car when you’re there. The local shops and bar are only a few minutes walk away and the big supermarket is just a short cycle...

"Who stayed: 2 families with young kids We had an amazing time in Sainte Gemme. The house is beautiful, clean and perfectly set up to welcome families. We really enjoyed the pool! We visited the zoo, La Rochelle and local vineyards while there. "

"The hob didn’t work the lights outside around the table were not working, the pool was not maintained and we were not able to swim in it . As a consequence of the cooker not working I had to pay for six of us to eat put all the time! And the food I bought from the supermarket to cook went off !! My daughter is visually impaired and fell down the steps because the lights were not working!! I contacted the manager on 10 different occasions and she did not get back to me . Please give me immediate...

"Thanks so much Carine we had a wonderful holiday in your fantastic villa. The covered pool was brilliant, plus hot tub, pool table and outdoor table tennis really enjoyed by all. Villa spacious and very clean. Great location close to local bakers and butchers. We really enjoyed visiting La Rochelle, Chatelaillon-Plage and local restaurants (Le rochebonne and mussel/burger bar on beach-thanks for the recommendations). Really would recommend this villa and hope to be back soon. Thanks again"

"It is rare to find such a property that is in one word perfect Bathroom, kitchen , living ,besthrooms, toilet, garden, all in perfect condition and on the terras a silence that is needed to relax completely. "Das Haus liegt etwas versteckt in einem Wohnviertel. Es ist sehr gut und modern ausgestattet und hat alles, was man braucht. Wir haben uns hier sehr wohl gefühlt und haben nichts auszusetzen. Die Begrüßung durch die Vermieterin war sehr herzlich. Der Ort selber ist eher untouristisch, liegt aber perfekt für diverse Ausflüge (Ile D'Oleron etc.). Im Ort gibt es nur einen ganz kleinen Supermarkt für das Nötigste, am Ortsrand gab es aber mehrere größere Läden.Wir haben uns sehr wohl gefühlt."
