It is much more open plan and providing the privacy required took a little thought. Outside areas are good and we used the front area more than the rear (that is better developed). "This Gite is one of our favorites and it was the second time we’ve stayed there. The owners are lovely and so accommodating. They provide more than you need for a comfortable vacation and true French experience. For all of you history buffs, it’s only one town over from Belleau a huge WWI site (battle of Belleau Bois). It’s so close to Paris however there’s no reason to go there since there’s so much to do in this region alone. You must have a car to enjoy but that’s true of the countryside....

"Clean, warm, plenty of HOT water, linens, towels, sharp kitchen knives. The only complaint is that the toilet is downstairs and the shower upstairs, but we knew that going in. First class!"
