"The cabins are cute and situated above the water with a nice view. The area is very nice and quiet and walkable out in the country. The cabins are dated with vintage kitchenettes and very basic furniture. You need to bring pretty much everything. Keeping in mind these are geared toward fishermen, a few added amenities could justify doubling the rates during the high season when they're kind of an overflow to the A-Bay vacation crowd. "I booked the least expensive room which turned out to have a view of the top of the overhang of the building. The room had a window with a curtain that smelled so bad I was afraid to open it for fear it would spread it’s funk throughout the room. The window which looked like I could have opened it was covered in filth and dead bugs. The bed was comfortable. The refrigerator and microwave worked well. Breakfast was a basic carb fest. If you like to eat cereal and bread you are in luck! The restaurant is closed on Sunday and Monday, the 2 nights that I was there. To be fair the property is beautiful. It’s on the river with lots of places to sit and enjoy views of the river. All in all it was disappointing."

"The location is GREAT! really pretty. We enjoyed favorable conditions (temp, humidity, wildfire smoke) and so lack of A/C was not an issue for our brief, end-of-July stay. Indeed, the fresh air cross ventilation was awesome! Did NOT miss TV.Some might find the house “dated” (1970’s?). Some might be less than fully satisfied with cleanliness. For me, we had a perfectly acceptable riverfront cottage, and in high season.We had no issues with the water system, however, we did hedge with a bottled supply for cooking and drinking. The shower stalls are tight.Larry was a kind, polite and accommodating host. I am not familiar with visiting this region, so a value assessment is difficult; let me put it this way: I count my lucky stars that this property was even available.I recommend this listing."
