"The room was quite dark and felt a little stuffy when we first arrived. As it was right next to the car park, we couldn’t fully open the curtains to let in more light and fresh air. Other than that, everything else was fine."

"Large and comfortable outdoor and indoor dining areas.Comfortable bed and rare to have a king/super king in pub accommodation. Slight downside...we needed to sleep with window closed with secondary glazing as the droning noise from external fan units was quite loud ..more constant than any road noise. However our room had a ceiling fan which helped with air circulation in a late summer stay. Very good dinner menu.... the slow cooked lamb special was delicious. Nice cooked breakfast."

"Beautiful clean room , for an old building the creaky , slopping floors were as expected. Very well stocked breakfast but I wasn’t sure where we were supposed to eat it so we went back to our room so perhaps trays should be provided? My only problem was the wedding / house side , I think it confusing. Even though the staff were very friendly, I felt in the way the next day after check out as the bridal party were setting up for their wedding. Perhaps an area could be set up for non wedding guests? Or are guests expected to leave straight after check out( I was waiting for my lift) I would definitely check if there was a wedding on if I booked again. I don’t think the mix of wedding / normal stays mix."

"Paul was a great host. The lodge was comfortable and perfect for us attending a wedding nearby. The room has a fridge and a microwave, as well as tea and coffee. The bed was really comfortable and we had a good night's sleep."

"A pool table or table football would have been good and is easier to contain compared to say table tennis.Grange Hall could sleep 24 but we only found 16 bowls.At night, outside in the driveway was extremely dark and we would have benefited from more courtesy lighting, even if sensor activated. Collecting things from the car in the dark was traumatic for some. I recommend some discrete lights in the grass. One person inadvertently reversed onto the grass because they couldn't see the border.My daughter and niece thought there could be improved lighting around the hot tub but I questioned why they went in there in the middle of the night anyway "
