I stayed one night upon arrival to Moshi. I was warmly greeted late at night. Check in was super easy. They take a copy of your passport. My room - even though I’d booked a single - was much larger and had a double & single beds. Room was clean and tidy with enough plugs for charging your gadgets. There were toiletries including toothbrushes, soap, shampoo & lotion. Breakfast was included and I even got a nice chef-made omelette. They have a nice sitting area by the pool or you can sit inside. The lodge is quiet and the staff is very friendly and helpful. I wasn’t sure how to get the hot water to work but to me the water was lukewarm. Good enough for a quick cleansing.

The overall atmosphere, plants , trees, poolside area was charming, The stafff were cheerful,welcoming and very helpful throughout our stay. The breakfast was excellent and began promptly at 6.30am. Very useful and important for those of us with abusy day ahead! The vening food was cooked to order and also delicious. The water heater in our room did not work but the room was otherwise good and the housekeeping also good.

The garden setting is nice. One reception staff member could not smile or even greet us. 24 hour reception often not attended. Others staff members were good. . The breakfast is poor. Only one sandwich maker to make toast for several guests and very slowly, no toaster. The food selection is not good and the buffet food levels were often left unreplenished. I don’t often make reviews but felt I needed to make comments this time

Was here for a week. Mostly it is a bus tour/start of hiking hotel, but I was there for family reasons so maybe experience differently. Staff and service are amazing. John the driver and Dorothy stand out. Very clean and accommodating in terms of the infrastructure. Great (unheated) pool and lovely bar. I really enjoyed the food. Breakfast (included) was awesome. It is not quiet because of the roads, so if that is an issue stay elsewhere, but overall I really enjoyed my stay at Panama Gardens. The staff and service are first class!

The staff worked to handle issues quickly. No big issues but they still worked them quickly. Food is good. Very quick check in which is nice since I always arrive late at night. Even sent my favorite meal up to my room.

This hotel has nice amenities and the cleaning staff was excellent. But do not use their airport taxi service. I had prearranged for a taxi but it took longer than anticipated for me to get out of the airport because the flight was delayed and some of my luggage was missing. I messaged the contact from the airport WiFi but unfortunately the taxi left without me. I then had to hire a different taxi and when I arrived at the hotel I was accosted by the taxi from the hotel who angrily wanted to know why I wasn’t there at the designated time and said I had to pay him anyway. The hotel front desk staff also insisted I pay him. It was scary and frustrating considering I essentially had to pay twice, once to the hotel and once to the taxi who actually drove me. It put quite a damper on my experience even though the hotel overall was nice. I had planned to stay there again on my way back through Moshi but I will probably stay at a different hotel to avoid this type of unpleasant situation in the future.
