We stayed few times now in Dakota chain hotel and we never dissapointed, Motherwell is a good option to stay for early flight from Edinburgh airport n only 35min drive.

The room was spacious and clean. Having a restaurant and bar with good selection is a big plus considering that there aren't many options close by. Even without a car, the location is good since there is a bus station close to the hotel with direct service to Glasgow. The staff is very friendly and helpful.

Booked a twin room and was given an accessible room, with an adjoining room of which we could hear the occupants loudly. Bed frames very noisy, twin was a king sized frame with 2 single mattresses. Breakfast and staff were excellent.

Great hotel, comfortable and clean spacious room. Pillows were a little thin though, could do with upgrading. Barr food was good but very limited choice. Quite expensive too. Restraint has more choice but is quite expensive and you need to book to guarantee a table. Location of the hotel can be a problem as there's very little around so its a car drive to get anywhere.

The first room we checked into had blood on the covers. Spoke to receptionist who moved us room. Next room the top pillow was filthy, again back to receptionist and asked to speak to manager. Manager never came to speak to us, we got another room which was ok. Towel rail thick with dust. Bar was good with nice service. Receptionist was also welcoming I have emailed hotel to discuss

First time staying at the Dakota. Really nice hotel, staff were lovely. Got upgraded to a king room, nice little touches. Couple of little issues in the room, manager took note and they couldn’t apologise enough and adjusted my bill for the inconvenience. One of the best sleep in a hotel I’ve had, so quiet and peaceful. Will definitely be back.
