About this property
Stroll to Main St, Hot Tub, Fenced Yard, Games, FirePit, CornHole, Grill
A short walk to Main Street and designed to feel like stepping into a vintage postcard — a newly built cottage blending classic Mayberry charm with a relaxed, modern feel. Coffee on the front porch. A walk downtown for lunch, shops, or a brewery. Hot tub after dinner. A game of Scrabble that somehow stays going all weekend. Walk downtown when you feel like it, wander back home when you're ready. Easy mornings. Unhurried evenings. Just a place that feels good from the moment you walk in.

🛋 Where Mornings Start and Evenings End — Living + Kitchen
This home was designed around easy togetherness.
Not the kind where everyone feels like they need an itinerary. The kind where someone makes coffee while somebody else flips through cards at the kitchen island. Where breakfast turns into late-morning conversation and nobody really notices what time it is.
The open living area has comfortable seating, room to gather without feeling crowded, and a kitchen designed to actually be used — not just photographed.
The oversized island tends to become the unofficial headquarters: meals, snacks, coffee, planning the day, deciding not to plan the day.
Strong Wi-Fi and Smart TVs are here if you need them.
Most guests end up using them less than expected.
🛏 Bedrooms — Comfortable Enough to Exhale
Both bedrooms have king beds because nobody has ever said:
"I wish we had less room to sleep."
One bedroom includes an ensuite bathroom, while the second sits just steps from the hall bath.
For additional flexibility, two folding twin beds can be set up in the living area for children or extra guests.
🌙 The Backyard — Small Space, Easy Rhythm
One of the things guests love most here is that everyone naturally stays connected without needing to stay attached.
Someone can be in the hot tub while someone else starts dinner. Someone can be throwing cornhole bags while somebody settles around the fire pit.
Everyone gets to do their own thing without disappearing to opposite ends of the property.
The hot tub is tucked into the back and ready year-round. Usually it starts with:
"Let's just hop in for a few minutes."
Then somehow you're still sitting there an hour later talking about things you haven't talked about in months.
Funny how that happens.
The wood-burning fire pit sits with Adirondack seating nearby — the kind of place where one more story becomes another half hour.
✓ Year-round hot tub ✓ Wood-burning fire pit with Adirondack seating ✓ Charcoal grill within steps ✓ Cornhole + axe throwing in the yard ✓ Fully fenced perimeter — up to 2 pre-approved dogs welcome ✓ Firewood not provided — Lowe's Foods is a short walk away ✓ Charcoal follows our Pay-It-Forward approach: use what's there, leave what you don't use, or grab a bag nearby if you run out
📍 Easy to Explore, Easy to Stay Put
One of the things guests love most about this home is how easy the location feels.
A half-mile from Main Street, you're close enough to walk to restaurants, breweries, shops, live music, and local favorites without needing to think much about logistics.
Approximate walking distances:
✓ Mill Creek General Store & Deli — under a block ✓ Mayberry Spirits Distillery — ~6-minute walk ✓ Mount Airy Amphitheater — ~8-minute walk ✓ Angry Troll Brewing — ~10-minute walk ✓ Thirsty Souls Brewing — ~10-minute walk ✓ Andy Griffith Museum + Playhouse — ~10-minute walk ✓ Snappy Lunch — ~10-minute walk ✓ Loaded Goat — ~10-minute walk ✓ Lowe's Foods — ~15-minute walk
Because you're close to everything, you'll occasionally hear everyday neighborhood sounds too. This is real downtown living — not a secluded mountain retreat.
Most guests love the convenience.
I just want expectations to match reality.
👋 Meet Beata
Hi — I'm Beata.
I designed this home personally because sometimes getting away doesn't need to become a giant production.
Sometimes you just need a place where things feel a little simpler for a few days.
I wanted this house to feel like a vintage postcard — familiar, welcoming, a little nostalgic without feeling themed or overdone.
A place where you could walk downtown, come back home, slip into the hot tub, play cards, sleep well, and do it all again tomorrow.
I personally manage every reservation because hospitality matters deeply to me.
You'll get fast automated help on the small things (Wi-Fi password, directions, hot tub instructions, garbage day) so nothing waits. Anything important comes directly from me — not a cohost, not a call center, and not a virtual assistant.
A quick note about the Pay-It-Forward pantry: we stock spices, staples, coffee, baking basics, and the random good hot sauce somebody before you didn't finish.
Take what you need. Leave what you can.
It works because the people who stay here tend to take care of things — and each other.
Happy to have you. — Beata

The residence was extremely attractive, clean and well laid out. It was equipped with just about anything you could ask for or need. The host was very professional and responsive. Being built so recently everything was in good shape and beautifully decorated. We had a great stay in Mount Airy!
Delightful little city, Mt Pilot nearby and this cute little house is charming. We brought our Yorkie-Poo and the backyard is fenced in. Hot tub was a huge plus! Clean. Modern/new.

Beautiful home
We so enjoyed our stay in Mt Airy. The location of this home is within walking distance to the downtown area. The home itself is beautiful and super clean. They provided plenty of towels, blankets and other supplies. We would definitely stay here again.
Our stay was amazing. Everything was thought of - the word we used was meticulous. This owner thought of everything and our stay was amazing. If we get to come back we would definitely stay here!
The perfect place to stay with your fur babies to enjoy Mayberry/the town of Mount Airy. Beautifully decorated and maintained with all conveniences included. Looking forward to our next stay. Would highly recommend.
Four sisters enjoyed our time in Mount Airy. Having a cozy and cute place to stay is very important for us. It was very clean and beautiful decorated. Kitchen has what you need. I would stay again. Plus pleasing sisters is a win win!!!
We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Mayberry Memories. The place was impeccably clean, comfortable, and close to downtown Mount Airy and a short drive to local wineries, the Blue Ridge Parkway, and many other attractions. . This is the place to stay . You won't be disappointed. Thanks Beata!
The place was beautiful. Beata was amazing and was prompt with responses when I needed to reach out to her. Will definitely use her and this place again if we head back to “Mayberry”! Thanks for an amazing stay Beata, as this was my dad’s first trip to the mountains!
The best VRBO we have ever stayed at. Everything was 1st class. House was close to everything that we needed and the comfort of the house was over the top. Will definitely stay again and hope all who reads this will give this 5 star a chance.
We loved our time at Mayberry Meadows. Everything was as promised and spotless indoors and outside. Everything you could possibly need was well organized and provided. Even holiday decorations to make it feel feative.

Perfect!
This home is in a great location. It has so many amenities to make your stay so comfortable. Beata went above and beyond for us, we were on vacation when Hurricane Helene came in, she made sure there were flashlights and extra batteries in case we lost power, we were very fortunate that we did not. Will definitely stay again if we are ever up that way.
This is by far the best vacation rental we've ever stayed in. Beata is an amazing host, I can't say enough nice things about her, the house is new, beautiful and an array of things to do at the house from the hot tub, axe throwing and corn hole. Also, the location is just minutes or walking distance from downtown Mt. Airy. Highly recommend this house, we'll definitely be back.
This was our first Vrbo stay. We owned a timeshare for 25 years and recently relinquished it. This vrbo home was awesome! It had everything you need and more! The decor was gorgeous. Very clean and comfortable. We are very pleased.
This property is very clean and comfortable. The location is walking distance to downtown Mt. Airy. We loved the fenced in backyard. The owner communicated with us to ensure all was well. I will book again.
5 star rating for sure!

Mayberry Memories was an absolute delight. Very well decorated and stocked with probably the best kitchen items I’ve had in a rental. We needed nothing extra. We were able to enjoy hanging out in the living room and around the fire pit catching up. The house is very dog friendly and mine really enjoyed the fenced in back yard. It was a pleasure they don’t have often. Beata was an awesome host staying in contact and offering little perks. Much appreciated!
We couldn’t have been more pleased with this property. They have thought of everything… They have every extra amenity you could need, the little things in the kitchen, waiting on you, extra towels, extra blanket, extra pillows, hot tub, new beds, the list goes on and on! My husband and I think this is the nicest VRBO we have stayed in thus far. My one criticism would be that it is still an up-and-coming neighborhood. But, the grocery store is less than a 10th of a mile away and Mayberry is a sweet and safe town!
Love, love, love - I am definitely saving this for future use!!!
The house was ADORABLE. The host was AMAZING! There wasn't a thing I can think of that I didn't like about this place. It's in a convenient location, great layout, the fenced in yard was PERFECT for pups! When they say there's anything and everything you need at the house, they really meant it! They even had robes hanging in the master bedroom, laundry detergent, condiments, most anything you might need for cooking, convenience. I was thoroughly impressed and will hopefully be back again!
