PARK and WALK - Mayberry & Main - 'The Main Suite' - New Construction

If you're looking for the perfect way to see all things 'Mayberry' then this is the place for you. Park your car, relax, and walk to any attraction Mount Airy offers in our vibrant downtown area.

'The Main Suite' is located in the heart of Mount Airy at 496 North Main Street. It is one of two new Suite's created as part of the restoration of this historic property. The renovation project was completed in December 2017.

The total restoration of the property resulted in the creation of two premium residential facilities at the rear of the building and one newly restored commercial space. The commercial space occupies the entire street level at the front of the building. 'The Main Suite' and it's sister facility 'The Mayberry Suite' were built with comfort and convenience as the main guidelines.


Enjoy shopping, restaurants, wineries, breweries, recreational walking trails, and workout facilities within walking distance of your front door.

THE PROPERTY

The 10' high gold and blue painted ceilings make this space feel large and luxurious. You will find everything you need and ample room for up to 4 guests. No one will feel slighted and all will enjoy a perfect night's sleep.

Inside, you'll find all the amenities you need in your ultimate home-away-from-home, including wireless internet access, in-unit laundry machines, and central air and heat for your comfort. After an eventful day exploring the area, come home to unwind in the cozy living room, where you can watch your favorite show on the 55 inch, 4k, smart TV, equipped with all your favorite cable channels. Later, refuel with a delicious home-cooked meal prepared in the fully stocked kitchen or grilled out on your private patio. Top off the night with relaxing conversation between friends and family on the patio or stroll back down main street to enjoy a cocktail at Old North State or your favorite beverage at one of our local breweries on Market Street.

THE LOCATION

When you're ready to get out of town and explore the area, you won't have to venture far! Mayberry and Main is just a short drive from several local vineyards, Pilot Mountain and Hanging Rock State Parks, the Blue Ridge Parkway and many other local attractions.

We have been managing Vacation Rental properties on VRBO for 4 years now. As of December, 2017 we now have 3 properties in the Mount Airy/Surry county areas. We consistently receive 5 star ratings on our other property(George and Sally's Farmhouse). Our goal is to provide superbly clean and fully stocked facilities. We want to earn your 5 star review.

Doug and his wife are great hosts. Communication before and during my visit was wonderful. If there were any concerns on my part, all I had to do was send a message. The location was perfect for a short walk across the road to downtown Mt. Airy. The apartment was super cute, welcoming, and felt like home. I highly recommend staying here and definitely will again.

Clean with ample space for 4 people. Literally steps from Main Street. Owners were accommodating and offered us early check-in and late check-out. I would highly recommend this property to anyone visiting Mt. Airy, especially the downtown area.

Just what we wanted!

The apartment is well appointed. Comfortable, quiet and attractive. Loved sitting on the patio. Location was exactly what we hoped for- easy walk to many shops and restaurants. Mount Airy area and its residents are welcoming. A wonderful stay!

Good location, walk to downtown. Totally remodeled. Top of the line. You could take photos of the place and put it in home & garden magazine. However, we give this a 4 star rating because there was a slight odor in the apartment.

Very nice, GREAT LOCATION! Walking to Main Street was such a plus, the unit had everything you need. The unit is the same price for a hotel, cheaper than a B&B , MUCH BETTER!! I would never stay at a B&B in Mt Airy after staying here. Nicer, private, and a better deal. I will return in the spring and stay here. Also having my brother stay here in February! Can’t say enough!

A Blessing

My husband and I visit Mt. Airy 4 - 5 times a year, some years more and some years less. We loved, loved this location. Although it was colder than normal, we still strolled down main street two times a day. The location was great for shopping, eating and visiting with the locals. We have stayed at different locations in and around Mt. Airy, this definitely will be our 1st choice in the near future. We were a little disappointed that the Loaded Goat restaurant was closed during our stay, perhaps next time.

Mount Airy Delight

We checked in on 10/18 and checked out on 10/20. From start to finish this was a wonderful place, close to downtown Mount Airy with all of the wonderful shops and museums, but just on the outskirts so it was quiet and peaceful. You can walk to downtown from this rental. There is onsite parking that is easy to access and our unit was up a simple outside flight of steps. There was a great porch to sit out and enjoy the fall weather. The unit had everything we needed and just right for us. Doug and Carol were very responsive to our questions regarding places to visit, restaurants etc.

Our stay was Fabolous!!! We mistakenly checked into the downstairs property. The host was very understanding despite our mistake. The property is well maintained and cozy. My kids loved the stagger alone bathtub and the Murphy bed. This is a great quiet place to stay if you're visiting the area. It's central to everything in Mt. Airy. I would highly recommend this property.
