"Great stay for a weekend hiking getaway with friends! The house was clean and nicely renovated. The beds were comfortable and the AC in all the upstairs bedrooms were great for cooling the house. The free snacks and coffee were a delightful surprise! There was easy car access to the main entrance to Acadia. The neighborhood was quiet and we enjoyed the evenings at the fire pit. "I really liked the location of the Kimball. It was right at the harbor and a short drive to Bar Harbor. The staff was friendly and the rooms were very large and clean. I'd stay here again when visiting Acadia."

"The amenities were fantastic. The kids loved the pool house, which included a pool table, foosball, and ping-pong tables. The gym and laundry facilities were also nice. The room was clean and seemed recently renovated, but there was an odd smell, that we couldn't get rid of. The receptionist gave us an odor eliminator but it didn't help. The drawers in the bedroom were also visible broken and fallen in. Unfortunately, the hotel was full and they couldn't switch our room. The rooms were huge. It was nice to have a separate bedroom. In the living room there was a full fridge and stove, which was nice, but they aren't built with appropriate ventilation so if anyone is cooking/baking the smell quickly diffuses to the hallways to share with all the other guests. We opted to eat out. Most important to consider- we were on the 3rd floor and there was no elevator, so we needed to carry our luggage up 2 flights of stairs. With kids this required multiple trips. We were fine, but this is a serious limitation if you aren't able bodied or have full-sized/heavy suitcases. The limitation should be appropriately advertised when booking."

"When choosing a room, make sure you check the photos carefully. I thought we booked an Ocean front, Ocean view. The hotel has 2 different rooms for that description. One does have an Ocean view, but you are overlooking the pool and lawn area. The other room, Ocean front, Ocean view, is called a suite, and it is right by the water. Different perspective. I had stayed at the one labeled "Suite" and is building 2, We booked a Premium, Ocean front, Ocean view and it is in main building and didn't realize the difference. Just check the photos carefully."
