The town at the very top of Mt Lemmon. The naked trees are the result of a forest fire that broke out in 2003 that had a lasting impact on the landscape. Notice the rain storm on the distant mountains. the elevation at this point was around 10,000 feet. Mid Summer temps might hit 75 degrees for a high. We had snow flurries on the day we were there in April.
Great lookout spot for a break on drive to top of my Lemmon.
We drove with our friends in their Polaris dune buggy from E Snyder Rd in Tucson right into the Catalina Mountains. The dirt roads are 4WD only. #adventure #adrenalfatigue #wildwest #Arizona #Merica

Room was clean, evening staff was friendly, parking was difficult because we arrived late in the night. Beds are VERY firm and uncomfortable so that was a downfall.
